Jennifer Hudson: “I Didn’t See Anything Wrong With My Body When I Was Fat”

Hmmm…

Jennifer Hudson says weight ain’t nothing but a number! In a new interview to promote her upcoming album, I Remember Me, the songstress revealed further details about her 80lb. weight loss — and said she’s become a clothes horse since she slimmed down from a size 16 to a 6.

The Chicago native said she was “very comfortable” in her own skin prior to her weight loss. “It wasn’t that I couldn’t do it,” the Weight Watchers spokeswoman said on Wednesday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I just didn’t see anything wrong [with my body] — and I still don’t. I liked who I was then, and I like who I am now.”

However, when she gave birth to her son David in August 2009, she wanted to lose weight to “set a good example for my son.”

Jennifer, who has been engaged to David Otunga since 2008, said now that she’s slimmer, clothes are “a lot more fun” to wear. Though, she joked, her shopping habit is become slightly problematic: “It’s so bad, Ellen, to the point that I have to throw my clothes up on the canopy of the bed because I don’t have any space in the drawers or the closet! I’ve taken over the bedroom, the guest room and now I’m throwing stuff on top of the canopy.”

And while she may have too many piles of clothes around the house, it hasn’t been enough to halt the dance-off that she has with her son at home each morning. “He keeps me smiling,” she said of her only child. “He keeps me happy. Every morning we have a dance-off. He’s in the bathroom and I’m in the bedroom and I do a move and say, ‘Now you do it’ and he gives it back to me. He’s full of life and energy and is such a blessing.”

Well she had to feel some kinda way about it to make such a drastic change…SMH.
