Castro is Shocked That Obama Hasn’t Been Popped Yet

Livesteez is reporting that Castro is surprised that racists haven’t lit up Obama yet:
Castro wrote in a commentary that appeared on the website Cubadebate on Saturday, “Profound racism exists in the United States,” as he weighed in on the US presidential race ahead of the November 4 election. “Millions of whites cannot reconcile in their minds with the idea that a black man with his wife and children would move into the White House, which is called just like that — White,” he wrote. He added that it was a “pure miracle” the Illinois senator, who became the first black politician to win the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, had not been assassinated thus far. The ailing Cuban communist leader, who handed power to his brother Raul earlier this year, described Obama as a politician who “has the habit of looking at his opponent with serenity and laughing at his rhetorical attacks.” Castro’s comments came as a war of words with racial undertones marked the US White House race after civil rights icon John Lewis accused Republican candidate John McCain of sowing “hatred” against Obama, who is developing a commanding lead in opinion polls. Castro also mocked McCain’s poor grades at the naval academy and said Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin “knew nothing at all about anything.”
It may not sit well with folks that he has given voice to what many people are already thinking, but the fact remains that the Secret Service have been guarding the man since the very day he announced his run. Once he wins, pasties are going to lose their mother f*cking minds and you can always count on some of them to do some ho sh*t.

contrary to popular belief, castro is a pretty brilliant dude. i listen to his translated speeches sometimes on cable access. he is right though, it is a miracle that he hasn’t been attacked or attempts made on his life (serious ones). then again, castro is old. all of these old folks fail to recognize that there is a new generation emerging. a generation full of tolerant white folks, mixed race children, and blacks whom are tired of being angry and fighting. hip hop has help bridge the gap believe it or not. it has let whites and blacks realize they are not that much different.

Don’t forget that they have FREE education and healthcare. Many islands in the Caribbean benefit from the great college education and become very good doctors/dentist. If I never travelled I would never know how much good the country has actually done for it’s neighbors and most of it’s citizens. Castro loves him some Black folks yall. People want to try and pretend that racism doesn’t exist. The truth of this ugly matter is that it does and always will. Their are just some people out their that want to move foward. And we can’t put it all on white people because their are some racist black people to. They can’t get past not only what our ancestors went through but some of our parent in grandparent during the Civil Rights era and before that. I once over heard on of my previous employers tell a colleague that he would hire a white man with no high school diploma and a crimal record before he hired a black with a four year degree. So you can’t make me believe that race doesn’t matter. A black man with knowledge and power is a white man’s worst enemy,sad but true.
I remember on that movie ‘Sicko” Michael Moore took sick patients that got sick from 9/11 groud zero to Guantanamo Bay Cuba to get medical care then eventually to another part of Cuba…Those people had gotten better treatment in Cuba for their ailments than they did in the US…And their prescription drugs were like 50 cents for a bottle of meds…

I feel what you’re saying, and I must admit… At first I was one of those ‘bandwagon’ voters. By that I mean that I was supporting Obama just because he’s black. After a while, I started actually listening to him, and I’m glad that now I really know why I want to vote for him. It is truly sad that racism does and always will exist. No matter how much we try to hide it. It’s among black people more than ever. As a black woman from the south, I just woke up one day and realized that I’m not holding another white person responsible for what happened way back when. If they didn’t offend me personally, I don’t find a reason to be mad or racist. Hell I’m completely open minded now. I have been a product of a temporary swirl even. We just have to move past this. This is the time for us to leave this racist, profiling, grudge-holding ***** behind us if we want to be the kind of supporters that Obama needs right now.

William Timmons, the Washington lobbyist who John McCain has named to head his presidential transition team, aided an influence effort on behalf of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to ease international sanctions against his regime.
The two lobbyists who Timmons worked closely with over a five year period on the lobbying campaign later either pleaded guilty to or were convicted of federal criminal charges that they had acted as unregistered agents of Saddam Hussein’s government.
During the same period beginning in 1992, Timmons worked closely with the two lobbyists, Samir Vincent and Tongsun Park, on a previously unreported prospective deal with the Iraqis in which they hoped to be awarded a contract to purchase and resell Iraqi oil. Timmons, Vincent, and Park stood to share at least $45 million if the business deal went through.
Timmons’ activities occurred in the years following the first Gulf War, when Washington considered Iraq to be a rogue enemy state and a sponsor of terrorism. His dealings on behalf of the deceased Iraqi leader stand in stark contrast to the views his current employer held at the time.
John McCain strongly supported the 1991 military action against Iraq, and as recently as Sunday described Saddam Hussein as a one-time menace to the region who had “stated categorically that he would acquire weapons of m***** destruction, and he would use them wherever he could.”
Timmons declined to comment for this story. An office manager who works for him said that he has made it his practice during his public career to never speak to the press. Timmons previously told investigators that he did not know that either Vincent or Park were acting as unregistered agents of Iraq. He also insisted that he did not fully understand just how closely the two men were tied to Saddam’s regime while they collaborated.
But testimony and records made public during Park’s criminal trial, as well as other information uncovered during a United Nations investigation, suggest just the opposite. Virtually everything Timmons did while working on the lobbying campaign was within days conveyed by Vincent to either one or both of Saddam Hussein’s top aides, Tariq Aziz and Nizar Hamdoon. Vincent also testified that he almost always relayed input from the Iraqi aides back to Timmons.

John needs to be prepared for all of his demons to come out. He never gives an answer to account for any of his misdeeds, it seems. Even though he may feel the topic of William Ayers of the Weathermen is valid for debate, I did not hear anyone from the town hall meeting asked Barack Obama about any of the character issues that John McCain has with Barack. At a Sarah Palin rally, someone called out, Kill him! At one of your rallies, someone called out, Terrorist! Neither was answered or denounced by you or your running mate, as the crowd laughed and cheered. At your campaign event Wednesday in Bethlehem, Pa., the crowd was seething with hatred for the Democratic nominee—an attitude encouraged in speeches there by you, your running mate, your wife and the local Republican chairman.

John McCain: In 2000, as a lifelong Republican, I worked to get you elected instead of George W. Bush. In return, you wrote an endorsement of one of my books about military service. You seemed to be a man who put principle ahead of mere political gain.

Hip Hop has not bridge any gaps between black and white kids . That is the biggest myth the corporate world has told the young generation. Alot of times when white kids embrace hip hop cultuure it’s a fad, to be cool, to rebel against their white parents and environment. It’s mocking black people. The United States Government tried various schemes to **********inate Fidel Castro and continues to economically isolate Cuba. The CIA even tried to invade Cuba at the Bay of Pigs to remove Fidel Castro from power, but the Cubans successfully fought it off.
As a result, Castro became closely aligned with the Soviet Union. The Soviets bought large amounts of sugar and supplied Cuba with economic and military *****istance. This money fueled many of Castro’s social programs, such as his war on illiteracy and free universal health care. Unfortunately, aligning Cuba with the USSR only led to more friction between Cuba and the United States.
Castro has also successfully *****isted foreign revolutions in Angola and Ethiopia. He was elected the head of Nonaligned Nations Movement and has been a strong critic of US imperialism. The destruction of the Soviet Union has left Cuba in a poor economic state and Castro less of an international figure, though he remains President of Cuba

I have to disagree. That may have been true when rap & hip-hop first “crossed over,” but you have to consider how long that’s been. Hip-hop culture is what, over 30 years old now? There are plenty of white kids now who grew up listening to Rakim, P.E., L.L., the Beastie Boys, and everything else. The school I graduated from had a seminar on hip-hop culture and the two most outspoken guys on the student panel were a white kid who grew up in Spain and a Korean skateboarder. Hip-Hop has become a worldwide cultural force, and people of all ages and races are infected by it. Yeah, there are always going to be a few *****holes who think that it’s somehow funny to listen to rap because it’s somehow funny to them, but I know *plenty* of white people who have rap music on their iPod simply because they know it’s good music. We came, legally registered, and went to work in the mines, the steel mills, and the packing plants. The difference with us is that we continued to work at our jobs, at raising our children, and at learning the language. Soon, we were accepted in the community because we earned the respect.
