Bossip I am at a loss for words and don’t want to talk to anyone I know about this anymore. I need a third party opinion who is unbiased. Me and my fiance have been together for 6 years now and I’m at the end of my rope with this. We were engaged in 2007 and I was really excited to plan my wedding and start a life with my soon to be husband. Everything fell apart in 2008 when the economy bottomed out. My fiance had a job as a mortgage loan officer at a major bank and we all know what happened with that. Fortunately he had saved quite a bit of money and he was able to pay his mortgage and car note for a little while until that money ran out. I have a mortgage of my own so there wasn’t a whole lot I could do to save his house other than open my house to him after it was foreclosed and four months later his car was repossessed even though he only had about year before he owned it but the bank was relentless. Then around about the beginning of 2010 he got a job as a car salesman and we all know what happened to that industry. Needless to say he was severely depressed and angry that he could no longer afford the lifestlye he made for himself and it really broke him down from the inside out and I supported him the best I could. Here we are almost half way through 2011 and he hasn’t quite rebounded from everything and is serving tables at a restaurant chain. He does contribute to the house and the bills and takes me out when he can but I’m okay with just being with him at home free of expenses. I really love him but I’m getting to a point where I want to be free. We haven’t gotten married yet because we can’t afford what we had planned and kids are out of the question right now. I came into this with a man who would be a provider and I’m not above working hard myself but I can’t do it all by myself. Should I call it quits or stick it out with this really good man who lost everything?
