Have you been frustrated by the “maintenance” Playstation 3 has been conducting online, preventing you from playing Madden with your buddies? Well that may be the least of your problems.
Apparently, 77 million people had their account information hacked, with 2.2. million of those people possibly having their credit card info swiped. Rumor has it that the group responsible is trying to sell this information for $100,000. That includes, card number, addresses, the whole nine.
Sony, though, has said that all of the card info is encrypted and there’s nothing to worry about. We hope they’re right. For the time being, keep a close eye on your bank statements, kids.
