Late last month, Kanye West’s long-time friend and artist Consequence sent ripples through Hip-Hop circles when it became very obvious that he’s no longer happy with his G.O.O.D. Music family.
It started with Cons’ barely veiled Twitter rant about Pusha-T of the Clipse stealing his lyrics. He then released the song “Last Supper,” from which the stolen lyrics allegedly came, with this cover:
Then, he released this video…
And people really started wondering what he had up his sleeve.
A source close to Cons and Yeezy revealed the reason behind this rift to BOSSIP.com exclusively. Apparently, Consequence, his cousin Q-Tip and his homie Yeezy worked together exclusively to craft his sophomore album, Cons TV. The album was more than 90% complete before the end of 2010.
Yet the public has never heard of this project. The reason why? According to our source, Kanye is afraid of sharing the spotlight with Cons, who he believes could have drawn some light away from his post Taylor Swift comeback.
So now, Consequence is on a mission. Our source tells us that he is ready to embark on a media blitz, revealing all of the dirt he alluded to in that video.
We also got our hands on one of the Kanye-produced songs from Consequence’s scrapped project, ironically titled “Waited Too Long Enough,” featuring Musiq Soulchild.
Do you think he has what it takes to give Ye some competition in the game?
