A tissue for her sorrows? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Sorry but we don’t feel bad for this broad — Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern — in the least. After making anti-gay comments in 2008 to the effect of “homosexuality is the biggest threat to America, even moreso than Islam and terrorism” (yeah double the ignorance) the Oklahoma state legislator is finally backpedaling from the microphone after making more ignant a*s comments.
Namely the following comments which were made on April 27, 2011, while debating in favor of SJR 15, a proposed constitutional amendment that would eliminate Affirmative Action in Oklahoma, Kern said:
“We have a high percentage of blacks in prison, and that’s tragic, but are they in prison just because they are black or because they don’t want to study as hard in school? I’ve taught school, and I saw a lot of people of color who didn’t study hard because they said the government would take care of them.”
During the same debate, Kern also stated that
“Women usually don’t want to work as hard as a man… women tend to think a little bit more about their family, wanting to be at home more time, wanting to have a little more leisure time.”
When it came to the anti-gay comments three years ago Kern responded with, “I said nothing that was not true” and refused to apologize. This time around sh*t is not so sweet. The president of the Oklahoma chapter of the NAACP and the chairman of the Oklahoma Democratic Party have called for Kern to resign. The result?
Kern apologized while CRYING on the House floor Monday — then voted along with the rest of the Oklahoma House for her own reprimand.
Hahahahahaha we love it! This broad gave HERSELF a Ho Sit Down.
But is that really good enough? We think she should resign.
