You think your life is tough. This woman doesn’t want to hear your whining. Canadian woman Rita Chretien was stranded in northern Nevada for 49 days and had to survive on her bag of candy and eating snow.
During a trip with her husband from British Columbia to Nevada, the couple got lost and their car got stuck. After two days, the husband left to find help but he hasn’t been heard from since.
For 49 days, Chretien ate snow, drank frozen ice and read her bible. That kept her alive despite the fact that temperatures were below freezing at night. She was discovered on Friday and has been receiving medical attention since then. She’s expected to make a full recovery.
