Hi guys, I’m fairly new here but I check the site frequently. I loved Bey from the very beginning of her career, but things have made a change; a very dramatic one at that. I’m a single mother and my daughter loves Bey, but at this stage in her career I personally feels as if she comes across “Desperate”. It seems as if she is afraid that she is going to lose her light, but what she fails to realize is she can over-saturate the industry with her character and cause the people to lose interest. After seeing her latest video “Put a Ring on it” I am absolutely over her and will not allow my daughter to look to her third role model as this is what she has to look to, to be successful in that industry. I also think that when you make the step to becoming a spouse there is a certain level of maturity that comes with it. It seems as if she has regressed instead of progressed. She is an empire within in herself, but I just can’t see how being married makes you want to now show the world what Jay Z has to work with at home. It is very sad to see this happen and I also feel that she feels her sister has a chance with her latest album and before she will let her take her ride alone she’s coming in to overtake her. I truly hope that it does not happen, everyone deserves a chance!

and lastly, when artists say they’re gonna make a double disc they could at least include enough songs…apparently, on the standard edition CD each CD only has like five or six songs..if she recorded 70 songs why couldnt she gives us more than 12 songs total

These albums covers are not bac. There’s nothing wrong with them. They are kinda just regular to me so I’m not excited, but she looks nice. I use to be a big DC fan and Beyonce solo fan until I found out about numerous songs that Beyonce would take writing credits song eventhough she didn’t write a single word. Most of these songs were taken from unknown writers and they were paid to keep their mouths shut while she says she wrote the songs. That’s lieing and taking credit for something she didn’t do. That’s why she’s always being sued many times under the table and for that I have lost much respect for her. She can sing well and dance so why feel the need to take credit for someone else’s work. As an artist and architect it disgusts me. Just morally wrong in my opinion.

I am not a Beyonce Stan or Hater but I think she probably went too far by wearing the bracelet with the cross hanging from it in the “I Am Beyonce” pic. Overall I think she is a great artist. However, I never bought into the I am so quiet, so timid, and so reserve, yet so s*****y, sexy, vulgar and raw on stage image she has tried to portray throughout her career. I think its genius marketing tactics by creating “Sasha Fierce” her alter ego so that “Beyonce” can maintain that holistic image! For, that reason I think so many ppl, fans and haters included have a hard time relating to her and not having criticism because there is a part of her (image) that comes off fake. I don’t think the “real” Beyonce is so innocent, shy, reserve, its just what her camp want people to think. People gravitate to people they can relate too and that that seems genuine, Beyonce??! Who is the real Beyonce?! She’s private, ok, I can understand that but the innocent perfect image, Please! Anyways I wish her the best in her career,& she can keep doing her thang! I’ve been a lurker on this site for quite sometime and I just have to comment on the whole Beyonce luv/hate thing.
First off, I have to say how ridiculous it is that people spend soo much of their time discussing people they don’t like or know personally. Beyonce is an entertainer, period. She is not curing cancer or running for president. So, it’s really not this serious.
Second, there is absolutely nothing new under the sun, everything has been done before. She hasn’t done anything that other artist don’t do regularly. The difference is people hold her to higher standard then other artists. They except some sort of perfection from her, which is unfair. When you at the top of your profession, there is tremendous pressure to stay there. She has to be feeling it from all sides (husband, parents, media, record label, and herself). That would make any one come off “desperate”. We all want Beyonce to reach her potential and come out with a cl*****ic album. But, that will not happen until she is mature enough to do her and not try to please everyone.
As for acting like a married woman, she has been married for like 6 months. So, that will come with time. Personally, I think her growth has been stunted because of the lack of normalcy in her life for so long (particularly her teen years) and she is only 27. Older than me, but is still very young.
Third, the pictures show a more natural Beyonce. Which people have been asking for from her for like forever, so what’s the problem? Another reason why she shouldn’t listen to people, because they are never satisfied. Personally, I prefer this cover over the Bday cover any day.

One day I was running around this ***** so high singing Janie’s Got a Gun by Aerosmith. Everyone thinks I’m weird. I have no idea why.
I don’t think Beyonce is putting on or is fake. I think its about being comfortable with yourself in different cir*****stances. She has been performing since 8 years old and getting praised for it. So, its only logical that she would be more confident in that arena. That is where she feels can let loose and not be bashed. When Destiny’s Child came out Beyonce never talked in interviews and seemed visibly uncomfortable and sacred. Mainly, because she was shy and uncool as a child. No matter how old you get that sticks with you. So, its not a shocker she still comes off as stiff, apprehensive, and uncool. Besides her being a people pleaser

This whole “Sasha Fierce” thing I think is just an excuse for her to act *****ty on stage. I don’t know if any good parent should let their daughters (or sons, for that matter) watch “Put a Ring on it.” Beyonce and all other female artist should know by now that they are stereotyping young people into believing that all women are good for is to flaunt around half naked and shake what their mother gave them. That wasn’t acceptable when Beyonce was 25, but she should know WAY better now that she’s pushing 30!
