If the issue is black women being “rated” les.s attractive than I cant really see the is.sue. Someone has to be at the bottom and in a country where blacks are a minority, were we expected to be rated the most attractive? Perhaps if this study was done in a country where there were equal representation of the races obviously the results will be different. People generally like themselves or a mix. The only outlier really is how black men were rated being that black men are similarly a minority in this country.

Lastly and probably most troubling is that the results for the OKCupid internet dating findings seems to confirm this pseudo science. That black women receive the least replies from senders and white men receiving the most replies from senders. Apparently Middle Eastern women are quite popular acros.s the board.

Alot of white, Hispanic and black men don’t think light colored black women are beautiful compared to white women in the context of European beauty. Beauty is subjective to the women who are not the standard of beauty. Black women of all skin tones are not the standard of beauty and because of that it is subjective.

Does it even mention how Black community public schools are labeled as “Abbott School Districts” (or do you even recognize the significance in that?) 2. IQ tests are worthless because they tend to measure what someone knows which calls into question the quality of education one is subjected to. A true measure of intelligence would be based on deductive reasoning…the ability to use and apply what you DO know. Many psychologists don’t even put any stock into IQ scores and view them as bias.

3. The fact that this article printed in the Wall Street Journal (owned by Rupert Murdoch…the same Murdoch that owns Fox News) kills its credibility anyway. Murdoch’s main agenda is to demonize Blacks in America…even YOU can’t deny that.

I FULLY agree. They speak of it here (Toronto) on Community radio due to the fact that the Black community here comes from all over (Africa, Caribbean).

Africans and Displaced Africans of the Caribbean have been building bridges in our communities and have taken upon the mission of recognizing our kinship. In fact, we are the first to start african/black focused school in Toronto. Though the month of February it is quite alright for our children to learn all about the exploits of White people. It is very wrong when we want our children to learn about what our ancestors have contributed (besides peanut butter). Our civilizations are well kept secrets.

In this school the concepts in the history, science, mathematics and social studies lessons reflect African consciousnes.s and contributions. This allows the children to recognize their worth…The curriculum that is taught in the public school system glorifies European culture, but it is done in a manner that says ‘this is mainstream.’ It has become so “normal” that we do not question why any culture that is not White is spoken about as the “other”. Most illustrations in textbooks are of White-skinned people. The contributions of Africans in the fields of mathematics, science, etc. are not acknowledged. The idea is not to separate us from them, but to uplift ourselves so that we can step into this world on even ground.

The sad thing about America is that they teach you what they want you to know…if it’s not conducive to their agenda, you better be prepared to do some self-learning.

Oh I know many of us don’t question anything. I hold self-love and knowledge of self workshops, and I just can’t see how many of us will repeat a pattern without giving it any thought. Beauty is subjective. There is no one ideal of what beauty is and no scientific study can take its measure. This is a “study” done by a Japanese man that has been on the chopping block for racially biased “studies” before. There is no educational value in a study like this. The point of it is to simply put down an entire group of people for someone’s own personal amusement. That’s it. This is a distraction from another major issue happening. The Fourth Amendmant being disregarded, making it legal for police to enter your home if it is beleived that illegal activity is happening. Yes, from what I’m reading from other members of academia who are scrutinizing these findings, the soundess of Ka-n-a-zawa’s methodology has provoked a number of questions and doubts from individuals with undisputable expertise in the scientific field. When I read the text of the original article, I looked for tangible sources of the data that Kanazawa was citing to no avail — and this appears to be his pattern.

BTW, here’s another opposition piece written by another expert (who has criticized this same researcher in the p-a-s-t) from the University of Minnesota, Morris. He even delves into the collective original link of various populations to Africa:

This is why it is so important that we all invest time and energy in becoming well-acquainted with our history and developing a strong and immutable sense of self. This latest piece is nothing new. There have been a number of concerted efforts to attempt to prove our inferiority, that we are intellectually hampered, et cetera. Do you remember the name James Watson? He is a geneticist who, five or so years ago, theorized that blacks are inherently less intelligent than whites.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, in other words its a pretty subjective issue. I am a black women ranking highly on net intelligence and beauty.
