Friends Of IMF Head Dominique Strauss-Kahn Reportedly Try Bribing Maid's Family In Guinea, They Decline

They don’t want his corrupt billionaire scratch though!

This Dominique Strauss-Kahn guy keeps looking more and more shady. According to the latest information from the NYPost, friends of Dominique Strauss-Kahn have offered more than a million dollars in hush money to the poverty-stricken family of the maid accusing him of rape, back in Africa. Because of the family’s tough living conditions, including no electricity or running water or money to buy shoes, it was initially thought that they would be easy to bribe. Unfortunately for DSK — they ain’t having it! Reuters traveled to the woman’s remote village in the Labe region of Guinea in West Africa where they spoke about their values — and guess what — money ain’t a thang to them.

“In our family, we are above material things,” said Mamoudou, a 50-year-old man who says he is the brother of DSK’s accuser. (Reuters said it withheld his family name or the name of his home village “to protect the identity of the alleged assault victim.”) He adds, “Even if you are a billionaire, we don’t care. The most important thing for us is how you follow God’s path.”

The maid’s father was well known in the area as an Islamic scholar and her family has continued that legacy as devout Muslims. That upbringing also makes it difficult for them to relate to DSK and his world of finance, luxury hotels and allegations of sexual misconduct, compounding his concern for his sister. Mamadou says he heard about the DSK scandal over the radio and believes his sister is telling the truth.

“If my sister is saying what she is saying, given how she was brought up, I believe her.”

He describes his sister as a woman of good character who never gave the family any problems and left the village to make a living after her husband died, and none of his brothers were old enough to wed her, as is customary where they’re from.

“[She] never created any problems for this family,” Mamoudou said. “She was the quiet one. That’s how she was brought up.”

See it’s good to see that for some folks — blood is still thicker than water — and gwap! DSK and his peoples were real foul to stoop to this level, but even if they had been successful in bribing her fam he still would have had to face charges since there is reportedly DNA evidence linking him to the crime. Even if the maid refused to testify that stuff speaks for itself.
