People who was military brats born outside the U.S. during or before the 50′s are NOT consider American citizens. Amercia changed that since American soldiers was having children by foreign women than bringing them back to the U.S. (IE Hines ward) So thier children would be an American citizen. This means if one of the child parents are American than that child has the right to seek and have American citizenship. IF and I mean IF Obama was born in Kenya in 1961 by an American woman, than by law that makes him American. If he was born in(and he was) in Hawaii in 1961 by an American woman than that alsw makes him American.

You don’t have to be born in America to be a “natural born citizen”. A “natural born citizen” is one who attained citizenship at birth, rather than by naturalization. A person achieves US citizenship by birth (natural born citizenship) through the following means:

1. Being born in the US or US Territory (for example Puerto Rico). This rule applies whether or not the parents are US citizens. There is an exclusion if the foreign parents are officials of a foreign government.

2. Being born outside the US when the parents are married and one or both of the parents is a US citizen.

3. Being born outside of the US to unmarried parents when the mother is a US citizen with the proper residency requirements.

Therefore, since Obama’s mother was a US citizen, it is irrelevant whether Obama was born in or outside of the US. His mother could have given birth to him on the moon and he would have been granted US citizenship at birth due to his mother’s US citizenship.

Donald Trump and these birthers are just taking advantage of people’s ignorance.
