Signing to a major record label is a dream come true for most hip-hop artists. But sometimes that first situation doesn’t always work out and I know all about it firsthand.

But whether you get shelved, dropped or choose to be released from the once desired bondage that is a record deal, you must continue on. Some artists find salvation after the deal, others expand their fanbase, but in the end, the battle is normally uphill.
