13-Year-Old Arrested For Sex With 8-Year-Old Cousin In Her Orange County Home, Charged With Committing Lewd Acts With Minor

This is terrible. His own cousin?

A teenage boy was busted for sexually assaulting his 8-year-old female cousin in California, officials said.

The shocking incident was discovered Saturday after the girl’s mother invited a relative and her 13-year-old son to spend the weekend at her Santa Ana home and go to an amusement park, KTLA News reported Sunday.

“She saw the 13-year-old relative coming out of her daughter’s bedroom,” Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said. “She asked him what was going on. He was reluctant to say anything.”

The girl refused to tell her mother what happened. But then the mother discovered blood on her daughter’s pajamas and took her to the hospital.

Hospital staff used a rape kit, discovered the girl had been assaulted and called police at the request of the mother, officials said.

Officers then “interviewed the 13-year-old, who made incriminating statements that he in fact had some kind of sexual relationship with this 8-year-old relative,” Bertagna told KTLA.

The teen was booked for committing a lewd act with a minor at Orange County Juvenile Hall.

It sounds like everybody in this family is going to need some therapy. “Sexual relationship”? At 8 and 13? Between cousins???
