I disagree.. Since I have been going to school in Boston I have come across many diverse affluent communities.. I live in one right now called Newton.. I see many races of successful men WITH THEIR OWN WOMEN, especially Indian.. The black male is the only one I see running after white women.. I don’t live here so to speak. I attend a grad program at Boston College and I have an apartment in nearby Newton. I am originally from Alaska. I come to BC for grad school but even when I was in undergrad at LSU in Louisiana I noticed the very same thing!!! Black males do not rep their own.. Now I agree that its not everywhere but it seems to be everywhere that I look!!

Both of you made your points quite well. I’m not sure why this 4% figure is being attributed to me, and I never admitted to dated outside my race (though I did prior to my marriage).

Bottom line: I just don’t care who people date. If I see a black woman with a white man. I am completely indifferent. I was raised by two parents who loved me and instilled confidence. Thus, I don’t have a reaction to other people’s desires.

I am not advocating interracial dating. I am only advocating that people get over it. You can’t force someone to love someone else just because they look like you. Black people aren’t monolithic. I have several black associates that are much more comfortable around those who share their CLASS background and not their racial background. You cannot control who raises you or what you were brought up around. I can’t believe that about LSU, I have family from Alaska, and most of them are married to white people male and female. I have seen many white women go off. They curse and make threats. Hispanics can be just as belligerent.

Another arab on a diferent occasion came right out and asked me what was in my pocket. I had just finished spraying my windows with the De-Icer because it was winter. I put that can in my coat pocket and went in the store. That time I went off.
