Leave it up to super emo rapper Drake to drop an introspective summer joint about drunk dialing ex-lovers in his new song “Marvin’s Room.” Most have done it, and for those who haven’t, trust me, in our tech engulfed society you will “drunk dial/text/tweet” at some point. Some of the lyrics to the particular song are:
Drake: I been drinking so much/I’mma call her anyway and say that/eff that ni–a that you love so bad/I know you still think about the times we had/I said eff that ni–a that you think you found and since you picked up/i know he’s not around
Girl: are you drunk right now
Drake: I’m just saying you could do better/ and i’ll start hating only if you make me.
I think Drake nailed it with this one as far as representing the hyper masculine male as being just as sensitive and insecure as the women that he preys on but that’s another article together. Let’s take a look at the dos and don’ts of drunken communication of any sort.
