Stop buying Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hermes, Hilfiger… and the hundreds of other brands that don’t like Us but love Our $$$.

T.I., Kanye, Swiss, and the rest of you Entertainers, that goes for you too. I haven’t heard a single line about T.I.’s own clothing line, AKOO… WTF???!!!

Why do we discount our own products and black businesses/brands, and mark up the worth of products from companies that don’t even Respect Us as consumers?

I thought this was about “bootlegged” products being shown in the videos…I agree that we should boycott the products on the mere fact that these companies have almost begged celebrities to wear (endorse) their products now because hip hop has its hand in the pot it’s wrong?

If this is really about copyrights I understand where they are coming from but if this is about rappers wearing the products in videos I say “Where were you Mr. LV when this rapper spent his money for the porduct? “Hey i got a receipt and I bought it so I’m wearing it in my video that i don’t want LV to watch!”

I also will never buy LV because the minute some fool has 2cents to their name, the buy something LV. Even fools like Lil Wayne and Bow Wow. If that was my company, I’d also be *****ed. I don’t want LV because you see all these dirty people wearing it and it looks cheap. Buy Chloe or Chanel. People can’t think for themselves, that’s why they copy. They want to have money so that they can copy someone else. That’s the demise of LV and Gucci. There are other exclusive brands that aren’t everywhere and because people aren’t exposed to it, it doesn’t attract the ‘don’t knows’. Those labels attract their intended markets.

The amazing thing is how black people continue to brag about buying things that they really can’t afford. They either commit felonies and risk imprisonment, or go deep in debt to get these expensive things. Rappers continue to glorify material items and broke people continue to go out and possess these things at all costs. While all of this is going on, the executives of these corporations love our money, but hate our guts. Its incredible how much free advertisement rappers give clothing companies, car companies, and the makers of watches and jewelry.

yeah TI needs to make a song called,”f*ck Lv, and ***** Gucci” then we will see how much of a influence people have on products endorsed. Ask hennessy that song busta and puff did netted bookoo bucks for them in the long run, and they payed homage….thats all pay homage, pay dues, its simple etiquette….No matter if he contacted them prior…I never heard a song called..”I got my sean john on but they look like 501’s”…but i have heard a vans song, they should think about such things. By the way, to the dude that said the new flavor is gay….i do not like the skinny jean look either, or the rusted too small t-shirt including a busted up hat and kicks. Not my flavor, i come from the wallabee, Girbaud, Polo s*****. People that payed homage to all that included them into our lifestyle. Think before you endorse….

Thats the point exactly! They don’t want to be seen as ghetto-fabulous. They want to appeal to a whole other market,and if they are *****ociated with Hip-Hop,then that option is no longer viable.The bigger question,that begs to be answered is,why does Hip Hop,continue to kiss the *****es of designers and companies,that don’t welcome their patronage? How stupid do you have to be,to give your money to someone who doesn’t respect you? I would never spend a dime,on a product,that was produced by someone who didn’t welcome my dollars. Hip Hop artists,will always prostitute themselves,in their never ending quest to “be down”. Gucci does not want them,neither does Louis V,or Versace or any of the other major designers. When will we ever learn. If those designers have no love for us,then start showing some love for your own! Every rapper and their Moms,has got a fashion line,and yet most rappers STILL go outside the family for their gear.I wish some of these up and coming labels,would start thinking and designing,outside the box and stop producing the same tired *****,baggy jeans and white tee look. A lot of us are ADULTS,and we would love to see some suits that aren’t cut 3 sizes too large and in crayon box colors. We are capable of producing anything that those other designers can,i just wish we would stop bull*****ting with all this “hood”*****,and do it!
