Amerie Married Longtime Boyfriend Lenny Nicholson In Beach Wedding In British West Indies

The Grammy-nominated recording artist, 30, married former Columbia Records executive Lenny Nicholson on Saturday on Anguilla in the British West Indies.

“This is such an exciting time for me. This is my first marriage and I am over the moon,” Ameriie told PEOPLE. “I look forward to a loving and enduring marriage. This day couldn’t come any sooner for me. I am beyond thrilled. I will remember this day forever.”

Though it may have been an island wedding, the bride didn’t opt for a simple white sheath and bare feet, instead wowing the guests in a Monique Lhullier gown complete with a dramatic cathedral train, baby blue Yves Saint Laurent Tribute sandals and jewelry by Rafaello & Co. The reception featured music spun by DJ Konflikt and a sea foam green seven-tier cake by pastry chef Yannis Janssens of Yann Chocolates. Every tier of the cake was a different flavor, and the couple had three cake tastings to make sure it would be perfect.

The newlyweds are honeymooning at the resort’s 5,000 sq.-ft. Romance Villa, complete with its own private beach.
