Lyfe Jennings is in a wee bit of trouble:
R&B bigshot Lyfe Jennings just got nabbed by Georgia police for allegedly shooting off a gun, taking cops on a chase in a Corvette, and refusing to take a DUI test. Smyrna, Ga. police tell us they were responding to a gunshots fired call when they spotted Jennings’ Vette hightailing it away from the scene. A chase ensued and Jennings eventually crashed. He was charged with felony weapon possession by a convicted felon. and he faces charges of attempting to elude, as well as discharging a firearm near a public highway and refusing to take the sobriety test. Lyfe — real name Chester — was in prison from 1992-2002 after being convicted of arson.
Poor thang.

I heard prison is quite pleasant. There is this musty smell that seems to be a permanent fixture, a combo of funk and *****. You never saw a smile like the one on an inmate who just received a letter from his moms. Oh and the stories, there is always jail house drama going around. Now that lyfe is going back he will be able to serenade those men to sleep. Its going to be Good Times.

You know I could feel bad about a mf *****ing up bu this one I dont. See this **********er tried to throw the mother of his kids along with the kids out of a home he claims that he brought for them and when that didn’t work he called the electric co to have them to remove the meter because he claimed no one was living in the home, but the electric co refused because the bill was paid in full, and the bill had been being paid over the last year so they new someone was living there. SO THIS IS KARMA FOR HIS ROYAL ***** *****

I really like his music. I appreciate his creativity, sound, and uplifting messages.
I find it alarming that he did something so foolish. He had no business with a waeapon, and driving under the influence.
He has a gift and blew the opportunity of a lifetime. I don’t think the court will be so lenient this time with a convicted felon.

To all those hating on my ***** Lyfe I say this, FALL THE F*&# back! It’s such a crying shame how people believe everything they hear and listen allow the media to be their God. *****ody knows what this man has endured, or why he would behave this way. He has truly served his debt to society and (i’m sure) only wants to lead a life that is normal as possible, but the police are always looking for a way to make some celebrity an example. I bet *****ody even remembers him being on Judge Hatchett talking to that little boy about going to jail and getting his life straight. Why are people so quick to judge or even feel they have the entitlement to do so?! Real talk I feel horrible about the entire situation because this is yet another positive, family oriented, very intelligent and talented black man that has fallen victim to the har*****ment of our legal system. He may have not made the best decisions but who has??!! The soul community will not be the same without him, I really hope this is not the end of Lyfe Jennings and I will always be a fan. Leave the brotha alone dayum.

He knew the risk that he was taking when he drove under the influence. He could have taken someone’s life.
Yes, there are alot of dirty rotten SOB’s on the police force, but that has nothing to do with Lyfe’s poor judgment that could have cost people their lives.
If he was innocent he would have stopped his car, and he would have took the breathalyzer test if he had nothing to hide.
Just because he makes good music does not excuse his behavior. If you do the crime you have to do the time.

Bravo on those responses. Honestly, he did what he did and he deserves what anyone other person would get in this instance, agreed celebs are far from perfect, but that brings up the point that we are not perfect either. ***** stardom in this case trust I am not blinded (thanks though Ci Ci). In my opinion, that is a fair chance to explain his situation infront of a judge and let him or her decide what to do with it. We all have our personal views and feelings when it comes to celebrities, but have you ever been on the other side of that fence? Comparing his situation to O.J? WTF come better, please.
