It’s been discovered that Wayne’s latest baby mother, who gave birth yesterday in Cincinnati, OH is a Vietnamese/Caucasian blend named Sarah B. She’s a nail technician who splits her time between the pedicure tub and banging celebrities.

Here she is on stage with him in Ohio last December and a pic of her doing what she does second best. Any guesses on what she does first best?

  • wealrose

First? I am just a bit curious..the magazine HOLLYWOOD GOSSIP reported his profile was found on the famous free interracial dating site ~~mixedmate . c o m ~~~) last week and he was seeking his interracial love there. wow!!

  • Simply Ecstasy

Disappointed… I was hoping it was Nivea or his ex-wife. Even more disappointed to find out his first son is a half breed. I know that comment will offend some but oh well… that’s just my opinion.

  • Kompton’s Kutie {{Suivez la Faveur}}

    This is the oddest hook-up…???!!

  • Nita

@jswang wrote, “Congrats to the newborn. Some of these comments are a crazy to me. Its a baby who cares what race the mother is.”

You’re right. The bigger issue is that this punk is having unprotected sex with gods knows how many people, of either gender.

He is nasty. And anyone who sleeps with him without protection is nasty. Male or female.

  • as seen on t.v.(my gravie went to Harvard with our next president)

I guess Khia will have a long rant on her myspace page about this one now….

  • Bella

I ALREADY KNEW IF HE HAD A BABY ON THE WAY IT WAS NOT GOING TO BE BY A BLACK WOMAN. YALL BUILD THEM UP THEY PLAY HOOD ALL DAY MAKE THAT MAONEY, AND LEAVE THE HOOD FOR GOOD. THEN AGAIN THEY HAVE TO BECAUSE THE HOOD HATERS WOULD DO DAMAGE.

  • KENNEDY

Yes somebody said “good for him as long as she’s not black” AMEN TO THAT. WE DO NOT WANT Weezy. YUCK.Congrats anyhow.

  • lisalisa

let me get this straight: he just had a baby with this asian chick AND married Nivea? So that means he was messing with them both at the same time and Nivea still married this fool! AND isn’t Supahead preggers by him also? What do these women see in him? He looks nas and tee.

  • Ultimate Hustla

Black women don’t be jealous because you’ll be gettin them welfare checks in stead of dem alimony checks

  • Kesha: (I BLEED BLACK N GOLD)

    Wow this is surprising…ok Wayne?

  • Tealeaf

He is pulling a Flavor Flav move..a ugly, crispy looking dude, getting with a non black chick to feel attractive…

  • Z

    hahahahahahaha

  • KENNEDY

Ultimate Hustla WTF are you talkin about? He is not married to this girl, duh its called reading comprehension. Its his baby mama. Baby mamas can NEVER receive alimony checks,ALIMONY IS FOR DIVORCED,individuals………

  • missfinest1

I’m not usually one to have anything bad to say about interracial situations(to each his/her own). But in this case I must say, “Weezy, what the……………. f****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” All those beautiful, talented black women he has been linked to and this is want he has chosen.

    @I got it like that

    I wonder too?

  • closetcolumnist

Ditto with Damn shame, Simply Ecstasy, and Bella’s comments. Well at least the broad got the one we Black women don’t care for anyway.

  • pm

If u can afford them have as many kids as u want

  • Sawyer

Thanks for posting a pic…took ya’ll long enough, but guess what…I lied! I still dont care.

  • Purpple

I see how he got that bump on his lip. Ewwwwww.

  • ebGCH

    Sh*t.

[How does Nivea feel about this?]

    Reginae is a big sister!

  • Simply Ecstasy

    @ Nita

Umm… who said I had a problem with the child? I know children can’t pick their parents. I have a problem with Black Men not building stronger family foundations within our own race. I personally hate seeing black men with white women… I have an opinion and you don’t have to like it. Black men need to stop sleeping around and start getting wives instead of “baby mommas”.

  • http://thumbsnap.com/v/hJSxpF6W.jpg mz.cee

    LAME!

  • Oshie – uh huh… ok… whats up.. SHETUP

Wow, I didn’t know 9 year olds could have babies.

  • closetcolumnist

THANK YOU SIMPLY ECTASY!!!!! Will the real Black men who love and know how to appreciate Black women please stand up??? Because believe me there are plenty of good Black women out there waiting so please stop filtering our supreme race!! We were filtered enough with slavery got damnit.

  • 6 Figgaz

How do you say “jackpot” in vietnamese?

  • KENNEDY

Closet Columnist and Simple Ectasy Never happen yall. Black men are the most disloyal men period………

  • Ultimate Hustla

    @ Kennedy:

I ain’t talkin bout them official alimony checks, I mean that green he givin out on da side. Dumb f*ck..

  • haaaahhh yaaahhh

Who cares! Congrats Sarah and Dwayne! She’s not the first and he’s not the last!

  • Marquis de Sade

    KENNEDY(Check me out!)

Closet Columnist and Simple Ectasy Never happen yall. Black men are the most disloyal men period………

No, we’re not disloyal – You’re just attracted to disloyal men.

  • closetcolumnist

And Nivea would be a fool ass to stay with a boy who’s prob still f*cking the nail tech for a free mani-pedi.

  • Al-Anon

“She’s a nail technician who splits her time between the pedicure tub and banging celebrities.”

    _____________________________________

Sarah B. not only does nails and makes babies, but she does teeth too. She decorated Weezy’s teeth quite nicely!!

  • KENNEDY

    Marquis de Sade

My husband is VERY loyal to his race.

He is not attracted to non black women b/c he loves himself sweetie, sorry. Try again…..

  • Allison Mae

a baby is a blessing but dang it is 2008 please use protection.

  • Simply Ecstasy

    @ Kennedy

You’re right Black men are disloyal in so many different areas. But I just wanna add one more thing… what ever happend to back in the day when if you found out you were pregnant the man stood up and made you an honest woman. There was a shot-gun wedding to cover it up and then a month after the wedding there was an announcement that she got pregnant on her honeymoon. What happend to that? We look at being a baby momma as normal anymore.

  • Marquis de Sade

    Kennedy

Need i remind you, you made the blanket statement in regards to the character of blackmen, so spare me/us the supercilious attitude.

  • ***

I wasn’t expecting that, not that there’s anything wrong with him and the Asian chick, but I thought Nivea was the one that was pregnant.

  • Injera70

What hold you when Badu was having babies by 3 different dude she was earthy and oh well she can afford to have a lot. I see that when Wayne does it he is worthless and no good. Double standards much people.

  • yeah i said it (GO COWBOYS we got the help we needed….SUPER BOWL BOUND)

congrats weezy, now raise him to be a strong loving respectful man.

    no swirl comments? lol

  • Creole Baby Hotta Than Ya Mama Grits

i thought he was dating olivia from da huxtables?

  • Special K

    @ Simple Ecstasy

I agree with you but shouldn’t we as strong black women get husbands instead of baby daddies lets not just put it on the men to grow and nuture and family foundation women need to take responsibility as well. I don’t care what race creed or color you have to be accountable for you. Back to the topic Wayne hasn’t gone around having a thousand kids like TI or NElly yes I said Nelly who has a ton Wayne has 2 children the daughter by the ex wife and this new son which by the way they are spaced a significant amount of time perhaps it was not an uh oh maybe he was ready to expand his family but just not marry the broad.

  • Simply Ecstasy

When I say black men are disloyal I mean they look outside our race the most. When you see mixed couples it’s 95% of the time a black man with a non black woman. That is disloyal. to me. I love my black men and I will stand behind them 100% until the day I die but the truth is the truth.

  • Marquis de Sade

    Injera70

LOL! I think in the eyes of some of these “SISTAS’” – The difference is Badu kept her irresponible behavior and decision making within their “SKEWED” moral confines of the hood, ie “BLACK”.

  • joey b

uuch man, dude baby moma look like she could really use that mill’ion ASAP!

  • KENNEDY

    Simply Ecstasy

I always question that. I don’t know really. It seems OUR community is the only one who hasn’t grasped the importance of a strong family foundation.

  • Side of beef

How can anyone say he is a good lyricist, what the hell is he saying. Thats not him rapping, thats the sizzurp, mad dog or whateva the f*ck he drinks. Well they will all be short when his 15 minute of fame is up, just like Juvenille’s career. He will have a drug habit and a gaggle of kids. Live ur life es.

  • http://www.myspace.com/thegameoncw Bird

Congrats to the happy couple and big up to Lil Wayne for successfully keeping the media totally in the dark about who he is banging. The blogs have been so busy talking about Nivea that they missed the whole pregnancy.

  • Throwback

Women are largley to blame for lowered standards and the proliferation of “baby mommas” in our culture.

Women “allow” men to treat them as “disposable” items.

Women “allow” men to get them pregnant without prior committment.

Women proclaim that they can take care of themselves without a man’s help.

I figure if a man really loved me, he would marry me before I got pregnant. It maybe a little old-fashioned, but that’s how I see it.

Furthermore, I would never allow myself to become pregnant by a man who was not committed to me. At least I wouldn’t be pregnant for long.

  • Simply Ecstasy

    @ Special K

Yes we women should stop settling but traditionally the man is the rock. The man is the leader. The man is the head of the household. The man sets the tone. We were created to be a helper to our man but our man is too busy sleeping around to appreciate us for what we were created for. Black men need to be stronger and make better choices and us women will follow his lead.

  • Marquis de Sade

    Simply Ecstasy

    Uhhh, inter-racial dating/mating makes up a very small percent of this country’s population. I think you’re over-reacting.

  • KENNEDY

Simply Ecstasy I agree. Its so disrespectful. I mean a Jew would NEVER bring a German to his mothers dinner table out of respect for his mother and what she endured, I have Jewish friends. So I feel you………

  • closetcolumnist

This b*tch ain’t no damn student LMAO- she’s a professional skank (I’ve seen the other pics of her already). And most of the beautiful people in the world are Black- like Naomi Campbell, Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan, Iman, Beverly Johnson, damn do I need to go on??

  • KENNEDY

  • Marquis de Sade

    Ms ATL

Well she can’t be that smart…Afterall, she just became another ghetto cliche – A BABYMAMA BY WAY OF A SELF-DESTRUCTIVE, DRUG ADDICTED RAPPER.

Like I said earlier: Talk about lowering the bar of expectations.

  • Simply Ecstasy

    @ Throwback

I agree that woman are as much to blame for making bad relationship decisions but who were our role models? Where are our fathers? Why is 75% of black children born to unwed parents? The best way to teach our daughters are by being examples.

  • Jahpson

he got a baby by a woman who probably smell like acrylics and egg rolls!! JESUS!!!!!!

  • Purpple

Beauty is the eye of the beholder..so you’ll never agree on “the most beautiful” people in the world…I tend to think Black is beautiful, not mixed black and not mutt black…

  • Lol

Lol Lil Wayne dating an asian girl, priceless

  • Sydney

Just out of curiosity, how many kids does Lil’ Wayne have out of wedlock? I just hope “Sarah B.” has had all her medical tests performed because that whatever-he-is looks like a walking piece of dirty graffiti. . .

I’m not one to hate on the birth of a child (especially one that will be taken care of). I’m the least bit of concerned with her race… Hey, get your swirl on Wayine if it makes you happy, but am I the only one that thinks that this chick looks a tad bit jitter-bug-ish? She looks every bit of 14… Hope he isn’t Chesterizing the game.

  • Special K

    @ Simply Ecstasy

Once again I agree with what you are saying but I also agree with Throwback and Marquis de Sade. I think that WE should be responsible about whom we chose to follow and who we follow. You will not lead me into the darkness if I am already following the light. People will do to you what you allow them to do to you sistah and that goes for any and everybody if you allow yourself to be treated as a jump off then GUESS what you will be a JUMP OFF often times WOMEN lower there expectations and settle. MEN do the same sometimes but it is more commonly seen in women whatever the reason STOP settling fix you. GHANDI said it best ” become the difference you want to see in the world” point blank. Be your own example.

  • Sydney

    @HF

Oh, I expressed disappointment with Erykah as well. . .

And I know no one’s talking about her looks — Look at him! And he’s not even dressed for Halloween. . .

And I think we women have more control over our fates than we realize or acknowledge. We have the gift of intuition and common sense, and we usually know when a situation is unhealthy.

    Hi Marquis :)

I didn’t believe this at first when I heard it on the radio yesterday. I don’t remember Weezy passing through the city in the last year so i’m guessing they met outside of Cincy. But why is everyone comparing him to Flav? This is only his second child. I would make more of a comparison between TI and Flav than Wayne. I seen better pics of him and this girl on M T O so they may really have a relationship. Just because he doesn’t put it out for the media to see doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about this girl and their child. We’ll see how this plays out if the baby really is his.

I’m good, Marquis. I missed Obama in Va. yesterday. :(

Speaking of HIV, just came across this story near St. Louis:

NORMANDY, Mo. (AP) _ Officials plan to start HIV testing at a suburban St. Louis high school where as many as 50 students may have been exposed to the virus that causes AIDS.

St. Louis County spokesman Craig LeFebvre said Wednesday that the mode of transmission in the scare at Normandy High School could include sexual activity, drug use, piercings or tattoos.

The St. Louis County Health Department said last week that a positive HIV test raised concerns that students at Normandy might have been exposed.

The Health Department is not saying whether the infected person was a student. Testing at the school is beginning this week.

For real..once I don’t have to take care of the kids I DO NOT CARE…however it would be nice for the not so rich moms and dads to try committment (see not even necessarily marriage)in regards to their families. Financially and emotionally it works out for everyone.

We have to be realistic though..nothing is written in stone EVEN in marriage. See increasing DIVORCE rates…

I was SOO DISAPPOINTED in her cause she’s educated, a good Sista and knows better (*I’m talkin’ ’bout not using protection and the fact that she’s around 30 and not a young chick who got pregnant by accident) because she used to work as a Hospital Administrator…

Who cares that she is not black?? When I heard Lil Wayne had a baby on the way I knew the girl wasn’t gonna be a Rhodes Scholar. She and the baby need to get tested ASAP!

  • Sydney

    @Anonymous3

Sista, you can’t get upset about Lil’ Wayne. :) I mean, look at him. . .Would you want him??

OK, what if sistas started a new kind of movement, like Operation Close Our Legs, or something along those lines. Do you think it would work? Abstinence is the only 100 percent way to ensure that you won’t encounter issues like unwanted pregnancy, HIV and other STIs, etc. And it may actually help sisters be healthier emotionally because when you’re not physically intimate with a man, that’s one less bond you need to break when it’s time to move on.

I think women have settled for too long and given up their control in relationships. Take it back. Don’t settle. Demand more. And if he doesn’t give it to you, move on — someone else will. And know that a number of men nowadays have multiple partners, so protecting our physical health is key.

@mandah…. no actually lil wayne is the joke. But no hard feelings…ok?

I dont think swirl babies dilute a race. but the intentions of the parents create confict. IF a “swirl” baby is born because one race has an inferior mindset and thinks their doing better by creating a mixed baby. Then that is a shame, and their views ultimately dilute the race.

But if your a swirl product because your parents are just humans who pro-created, then fine. But i’m sure your aware that “some” equate other races as being better than their own, and that my dear is the biggest joke of them all.

fyi, i wasnt picking on you, i feel where your coming from. plus you said you were a product of a swirl or something like that, so i’m sure your a little more sensitive and particular about the subject at hand.

  • realwoman

Like for real..how are you going to blame women alone for the lower standards? That makes no sense. MEN need to be men and stop blaming women for their damn problems. What woulda happened if MLK or Malcolm X decided to blame Black women for them not getting jobs due to racism, being unfairly incarcerated by whites due to their race, not being allowed to buy homes in certain areas, educate their children etc BECAUSE OF RACE?

NO. They were REAL men and they fought for theirs EVEN sacrificing their lives for their other brothers and sisters who wanted nothing more than freedom to LIVE without harassment and prejudice. We still have some men like them but they are a dying breed.

    realwoman…. good point.

    two words: COP-OUT

  • Sydney

    @realwoman

Well, speaking for myself, I’m not blaming women alone for the overall problems facing our community, but I can’t make men do what they should be doing. But I can make smart, healthy, logical decisions for my own life, and that includes not dealing with riff-raff. We can assert more control over who we allow into our lives.

There will always be men who don’t fulfill their responsibilities, are inept at relationships, etc., but we don’t have to deal with them. They should be left alone, IMHO. Those who want to do right, will, and those who don’t, should suffer the consequences by themselves.

  • Nina Knows

    @Mandah….

I agree, and feel you on that. Actually to me, most of the “diluting” comes from blacks who are not mixed. I see more culturally stronger individuals that are mixed like Alicia Keys do more and support more for us then lets say Beyonce. Who only speaks about themselves. Dont step outside themselves at all. Look at Obama, (in my opinion) if he was born to two black parents, he would have most likely ended up with a white or non-black woman. Being a product of a swirl has nothing to do with participating in the breakdown of your people.

You also gave me another way of looking at it too. Not all mixed people come from those those self-hating enviroments, (trust I can look into my own family for that) but I cant deny that some of my male fam members will not date black women, or when they do, they quick to replace them with lighter or white. not because of any particular reason other than wanting a “bad yella bone”. I would think a light skin woman would be offended by that. If a dude only wanted me because of my skin color, I would kick his dumb ass to the curb.

I’m going to need that white russian in a min….lol

Here we go again black people….another BLACK/bi-racial child born out of wedlock. The same women who say there are no “good black men” are the ones chasing the Lil Waynes, 50 Cents and Latrell Spreewells. Women of all races need to raise our standards when it comes to men. Sorry, that’s just my editorial for the day…….

  • Simply Ecstasy

Young black men are commitment shy and/or sleep around waaaay too much. Women try hard to love the black man but usually he’s not focused on building a family structure. He’s looking for a good time. So then we females are off to the next man with the hopes that the next one is better than the last. Even if we don’t have children from that relationship and let’s just say we didn’t even have sex with him… it’s still the same thing… our black men failed us. I’m not male bashing. I’m just making observations within my culture. Even good women (not jump offs) have a hard time finding a suitable mate because the black man plays way too many games. How many times have you cried or had a girlfriend cry to you about a man. Yes there are good men out there but they come few and far between.

  • Chris

    @Sydney and everyone

Well on a large scale it is going to take a lot of work to get this situation rectified, but I have made some rules for myself that I am attempting to live by.

    1. Don’t sleep with someone you wouldn’t marry

    2. Search for someone with similar values

    3. Don’t make decisions out of lust or in the moment

    4. Make marriage a priority, not a last resort

I’ve always wanted a family of my own and that is something that I’ve strived for. When I was young, my parents taught me the importance of family and marriage. We definitely need to pass those values on to more people.

In order to make a difference, we need to first make changes in our own lives and then pass along the word. Too many people are listening to bad advice or refusing to listen to good advice because the person giving it isn’t living it.

  • beautiful b

  • Sydney

Kennedy, it already has happened. I think there’s a mindset that has already formed out there that negates the validity of marriage and has rendered it inessential in creating families. Children mirror what they see — Their parents serve as models of behavior, so it’s no surprise when they wind up in the same situations as their elders.

People come on this site talking about how ugly someone is and can’t understand why someone would want to be with them, it must be this, or that. What is really unattractive is being shallow. When will these silly people learn how attractive someone is to the public has little or nothing to do with their ability to create a happy lasting relationship or their ability to attract those of the opposite sex. For all the peope who call Jay z, Tameka Foster Raymond, Serena, Tiny, Weezy and others ugly and try to make excuses as to why they have mates when u don’t. Maybe you should work on your personality. Weezy never has a shortage of women, whenever I see him with women he appears to be a gentleman, attentive, and complimentary and generous, trust those qualities go far beyond a pretty face and nice abs.

So These kids are on their own. There is no man in these households to protect and teach these kids anything.

No, there’s no real guidance, Kennedy, and there are so many dangers awaiting them. It’s really sad to me. I also think that there are too many parents who are trying to be friends to their kids, instead of parenting and disciplining them.

These are all significant issues, and they’re only growing.

  • Chris

    @Sydney

Thanks. I think we can do it by placing more importance on those values in the youth. Most people coming up today are taught that marriage is a prison and that it is a miserable existence. They are taught this by people that are normally bitter and/or upset for some reason or another. (Scorned).

We should glorify families and marriage the way we allow other things to be glorified in our communities. Doing so will not bring about change immediately, but it will certainly hope make things better for the generations to come. We just need to get our stuff together in dealing with each other. We also need to get into positions in the community where we will have the influence and platform to affect people’s views.

“Most people coming up today are taught that marriage is a prison and that it is a miserable existence. They are taught this by people that are normally bitter and/or upset for some reason or another. (Scorned).”

This is an excellent point, and it goes back to the thought you expressed earlier about monitoring who we allow to give us advice and guidance. There is this meme that is now prevalent that marriage carries more negatives than positives — that you stand to lose more than you will gain.

Like you said, we should glorify families and marriage the way we do other unhealthy behaviors, like promiscuous sex and materialism.

  • POWER OF LOVE !

Could someone, anyone please explain to me, why anyone would be offended by a man having a child with a woman of another “race”,

WITHOUT YOUR RESPONSE HAVING ANYTHING TO DO WITH RACISM?.

Even if you assume that the first people to walk the earth were in fact BLACK than WHITE people would have had to have been a descendant of someone BLACK.

Assuming you are very religious you would have to believe that Adam and Eve were the first people on the planet, right. So regardless of what “race” they were, wouldn’t that mean that “all” races stemmed from their union.

Assuming you believe that “Caucasian” people were in fact the result of genetic experimentation by what would have been “Negroid” scientist in the beginning (believe me there are people who believe that (5 PERCENTERS for one), wouldn’t that mean that the “Negro” “created” the “Caucasian” and if so what about the “Mongoloid” race. Would the “Mongoloid” race be the union of the Negro and Caucasian? (Just Asking, lol). And wouldn’t that also mean the “Negro” created his own “Oppressor”.

Assuming anyone of these hypotheses are true wouldn’t that mean that the “Caucasian” is in fact a descendant of the “Negro” and therefore a part of who you are.

RACISM IS ALIVE AND WELL. IT ONLY SEEMS FITTING THAT THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN OPPRESSED WILL SOMEDAY OVER COME THEIR OPPRESSOR. KNOWING THAT, WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL BE THE OUTCOME OF BEING IN THE POSITION OF THE OPPRESSOR. WOULD THAT BE THE LEGACY YOU WOULD WANT TO LEAVE TO THE FOLLOWING GENERATIONS TO COME?.

It really is a shame and a disservice to Mankind to have been subjected to such an insidious ideology. People talk about The Holocaust, but I truly believe this to be the BIGGEST HUMAN ATROCITY TO HAVE EVER BEEN BESTOWED UPON MAN.

SO I ASK AGAIN, HOW CAN ANYONE BE OFFENDED BY A MAN OF EITHER RACE WHO DECIDES TO BE WITH A PERSON OF ANOTHER RACE, WITHOUT YOUR RESPONSE HAVING TO DO WITH RACISM?.

I’m sure I am not talking to any virgins out there so everyone who is not currently married is subject to becomming a babymama/daddy.

Good for you!!! are you over 18? If so even better. Hold strong to your convictions and only accept that which is in line with your plans for the future. Most people don’t wait for marriage as I am sure you are aware of.

  • CiCi

No one here is perfect. I guarantee you all of you had sex without being married so no one should be judging others so harshly.

It’s funny how people think that they are the epitome of righteousness when they want to criticize others.

Mind your own business look at your own life. At least he took responsibility for the child. Some men just walk away and say “it ain’t mine”.

again I am with THROWBACK you say the black men is not focused but why are the women not focused enough to move around if he is indeed doing

-he treated other women in his life

    - he was irresponsible

    - he was a liar (*even lied about dumb stuff)

    - he couldn’t keep a job

    - he at the club EVERY weekend

    - coming home all hours of the night with a dumb excuse or no excuse…

    etc…

WOMEN try to change them and they even start hating on one another alot of women will go and have a baby with a man knowing he is not taking care of the other babies he have. Women need to stand up and be responsible. Prime example is if the mom had the kid at 15 instead of the grandma making her stay at home and raise the baby they babysit while she is out and being grown again, instead she should be made to learn by her mistakes and own up to them not only the girl but the boy as well. But the is age old it doesn’t matter what color you are there are just absentee fathers and husbands. And you can be married and get a divorce and at times the ex-husband will think he can divorce the children too.

I don’t roll my eyes and get bent out of shape when I see interracial couples. The black MAN is not embracing our women and children. Take my comments how you want to but the truth is the truth.

If a male or female withhold sex from a would be suitor for enough time before this would happen, they wouldn’t have to worry about out of wedlock children.

The good thing about doing that is that the shady men would get antsy and want to bounce because they weren’t getting any loving. At least then you’d know what the deal was.

  • Throwback

There’s a bit of ultra-sensitivity about dating “others” who are not of our race. We need to tone down it down. People are attracted and fall in love for all kinds of reasons. Some make sense and some don’t.

I’m a fairly tall woman…..5’8 in my stocking feet. Normally, if I date someone, I like for the person to be taller than me. It doesn’t MEAN that there’s something WRONG with a shorter man, it’s just something that I prefer. If a met a really nice shorter man, I’d fall like a rock, but it’s a personal preference.

Both my brothers are married to white women and I don’t view them as disloyal. It’s just who they happen to like. My sister is married to a Jewish attorney. Is she disloyal too? My mother is married to an alcoholic. Is she disloyal?

Just because some black men like to date white women, it’s OK. It doesn’t mean that something is wrong with black women. We’re OK too!!

Oh, and on the subject of women and other races with hair extensions, the Washington Post ran an article in 2006 on their increasing popularity. You can do a Google to find the article in its entirety:

    By Korin Miller

    Washington Post Staff Writer

    Monday, December 4, 2006; C05

Remember those Rapunzel Barbies whose hair you could make longer by giving it a good pull? They’ve come alive and walk among us.

Take Britney Spears. After announcing her split from hubby Kevin Federline, the pop star sported a blunt chin-length cut. What better way to express her singledom than to redo her do?

But wait. Two weeks later, her hair was cascading down her back.

Guess what, ladies? Britney has fake hair. And though we know we shouldn’t care, on some level we do, tangled up as we are in a society obsessed with hair and what it represents: beauty, power, sexuality, vitality. Men try to keep theirs, and women, well, that’s a long story — and one we enter (cue sound of blow-dryer whrrrrr). on a recent Friday afternoon, as University of Maryland sophomore Giulia DiMarzo is seated at David’s Hair and Day Spa in Bethesda. Svetlana Sintukovska is stationed in an identical chair just a few feet away. They’re not going anywhere for a while.

“Last time I was here for six hours,” Sintukovska, 25, says with a slight grimace. This time she’s hoping to be out in an hour.

Once a Hollywood trade secret — though common in some ethnic communities — pricey hair extensions are a growing phenomenon.

“It’s everywhere in magazines,” Sintukovska says while stylist Massimo Quartararo painstakingly glues golden locks in a tidy row near her scalp. Her hair is expanding — in length and volume — by the minute. “Different celebrities . . . they have short hair and then you see them with long hair. They obviously have extensions,” she says.

Quartararo has been extending his clients’ hair for more than a decade but says business has really picked up within the past few years. “People come in with pictures of Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera and ask, ‘Is that extensions? I want this look.’ ”

David P. Marshall, author of “The Celebrity Culture Reader” and “Celebrity and Power: Fame in Contemporary Culture,” isn’t surprised. “Celebrity culture is tightly connected to consumer culture,” he explains. “They provide patterns for us to consume and tell us what to consume. We say: If they can do it, why can’t we?”

  • Simply Ecstasy

Well Obama is biracial. But his BLACK father left his mother at an early age and it was his WHITE mother and WHITE grandparents that stayed around from day 1 and molded him into the man he is today. Obama made a fathers day speech earlier this year that was critical of the absent black fathers. The black man (not all but most) is lost and it has a trickle down effect to the women and children. God created man and then created woman to be his helper. But how can we help when there is no clear leader.

  • http://checkmeout Tina

    @Sydney

I’m going back and forth from threads.

No, I don’t like classical, but I do like Monk and his hats too. My favorites are Blue Monk and Straight No Chaser. My all time favorite musician is Miles Davis and Kind of Blue album. I listen to All Blues (track # 4) every morning.

  • Sydney

Oh, and just so we’re clear, these hair extensions cost in the hundreds, so women of other races are paying a pretty penny:

“Permanent” (vs. clip-on) extensions at David’s range from $250 for a quarter-head of added hair to as much as $1,300 for the works. Prices at the Georgetown Aveda Lifestyle Salon & Spa, which does about five extension clients a month, can reach $1,400. Washington’s Toka salons top out at $2,000 each among the several extensions it does every month. Despite the price tag, most extensions last only about three months before the wearer is due for maintenance. The hair eventually has to be removed and replaced by new extensions because as real hair grows, the bonds move down and become obvious.

Still, Quartararo insists that this beauty option is something that nearly everyone can afford: “Not all my clients who do extensions are rich. Some just want nice hair.”

Less inexpensive, but not cheap, removable options are available. HairDo products range from $85 to $500. The line was launched by Jessica Simpson with celebrity stylist Ken Paves several months ago at HairExtensions.com.

Carliz Teague, CEO of the Web site, says her business increased 40 percent this year and Simpson’s line is making a big splash. “The clip-in human hair products are really hot right now,” she says.

Why do you have so much hate and animosity for black women. So what black women wear weaves, we’ve been taught our whole lives something is wrong with nappy hair, dark skin, big lips, thick bodies, but you know what we still do the damn thing, and one of us is considered to be the sexiest woman alive with her weave on. The black womans beauty has no bounds and we are imitated by every race of woman on a constant. I know that if you are a black man, that you know what discrimination is and how it hurts do don’t do that to your own women.

Your right that was the point, lol.

So many people are making comments that seem to be based on what they were either taught, heard about other “Races”, feel pressured to believe for fear of being seen as a “Sell Out” or from the effects of having been raised in and living in a racist society and disregarding the facts.

True “DNA” does differ “SLIGHTLY” as you pointed out, even amongst people of the same race. Doesn’t it suggest that if it’s possible to share similar “DNA” that we are more the same than not.

I think it’s really unfortunate that you would equate people of the, pedophilia and bestiality with sleeping with someone of another “race”.

Your suggestion that this “in anyway” equates with someone having an issue with having sex with “CHILDREN AND ANIMALS” suggest to me that “Racism” is apparently much more “damaging” to the minds of some than I previously thought.

Although I vehemently agree with you regarding the idea that someone would choose to be with someone of anther race because they felt that members of theirs were somehow inferior. And doesn’t that say how “Extreme” Racism has become that members of the “same race” are able to see “each other” as being “inferior”.I truly believe that the ability of someone to view members of their own race in such a disparaging way is in fact a result of Racism.

I would like to ask you though

“If we were all meant to the same THAN WHY AREN’T WE? AND HOW WOULD IT ALSO BE POSSIBLE FOR US TO HAVE BECOME MIXED?.

Using your own logic WOULDN’T THAT BE FOR A REASON AS WELL. Just Asking, lol.

As far as trying to make A LA DI DA world, wouldn’t that be boring, LMAO !. I’m much more interested in dealing with facts as they exist today than the Eutopia you assume I’m searching for. To my knowledge there will always be a reason to dislike or even hate someone else IT IS A PART OF THE HUMAN CONDITION. But when it comes to race and dealing with the facts it is not logical to hate someone merely because of the color of their skin and too obtuse when there are other very “REAL REASONS” to.

    @Chris

I think it may be both. I wore extensions years ago one summer because I wanted fuller hair (I kept the length the same because I wanted it to look natural). My hair stylist told me that men liked longer hair, but that wasn’t the reason I wanted it. My hair stayed the same length, but I wanted it to be thicker.

So I was very self-conscious of it at first and I kept asking my friends if they could tell I had extensions, but I eventually got used to it. I was able to spend minimal time doing my hair, so it gave me a lot of flexibility.

Then when I had it taken out, I discovered that my real hair had been damaged, and it took a while for it to get back to its previous healthy state. I eventually started going to Dominican salons where I think they take better care of my hair, and it grew on its own.

I haven’t tried extensions again since. I just keep my hair healthy, and it grows on its own.

So you want to know something very ironic? Years after I stopped going to my old stylist who gave me the extensions, I wound up running into her one night at the mall. She asked me who my stylist was because my hair was never that long. Funny!

  • WordtotheWise

The prevailing mentality of the black community, “If you can take care of your child (financially), have as many as you want.” I don’t agree with that. Taking care of a child is more than just putting Pampers on his/her behind or feeding the baby. It’s being a positive example to the child, passing on wisdom and knowledge, being in a stable relationship so that when he/she grows up, they’ll have some type of example to go by, conducting yourself in a way that is respectable and moral so that he/she will be a productive member of society (no guarantees, but at least you’re doing your job as a parent). I don’t celebrate this nor E. Badu either. A lot of people say, “Well at least she’s gonna get paid.” What? So children are now payroll check?

Also, you have to be a fool to go raw in this day and age. I don’t know either one of them, so whatever. Just my opinion.

I wore a fake pony tail for one summer back in 1994 but that fad was short lived because I don’t like being fake. I don’t like fake hair or nails or none of that. I got dreds a year ago and I love it. I’m trying to do the natural thing but that’s just me. But to answer your question… when I did wear fake hair, it was because I liked the way it looked , it had nothing at all to do with a man.

  • Chris

    @Sydney

I believe that both are contributing factors as well. I find it funny when a guy says that he hates weaves, but wants someone with long hair exclusively. He is setting up a situation that promotes weaves. It is even funnier when a woman with a weave makes fun of a woman with short hair. It is hypocritical.

I think that one’s appearance can be a direct representation of how they feel about themselves. For example, there is a beautiful administrator at my school that wears her hair slightly longer than mine. (I wear mine short and wavy). Then there are some women on the metro in the morning with and without weaves that…just aren’t doing it. It is all about presentation. Present yourself well and the utensils used to put together the masterpiece aren’t as important as the actual picture/work of art.

Just so you know, my hair is very course (mom’s genes), and my stylist blow dries my hair, then flat irons it. So, no, I don’t get relaxers. But you’re calling people’s hair stringy so that you can feel better about yourself is ignorance at it’s finest. You call me ignorant, yet you can’t spell purple (Purpple). I’m just teasing. But whatever you say. I think natural hair is gorgeous, and my mom doesn’t get relaxers either.

    @ Sydney

I own the 50th anni Miles CD, and thanks for the NS information.

Heck no but not because of the way the look becuase of the character of the person I mean Flav has several children different mothers and also been addicted to drugs. Rosie O’ Donnell is well Rosie O’Donnell she is rude and she also thinks her opinion should be everybody elses and she is very obnoxious to say the least come on NINA give me some people I can work with. lol

  • Purpple

Good for you. and who’s talking about stringy hair? Obviously the topic is over your hair, im talking about the genes of the hair regardless of the character. I just couldnt possibly be spelling the word the way i want to can i. daym.

    @Chris

“I find it funny when a guy says that he hates weaves, but wants someone with long hair exclusively.”

You know what? You’re really smart, and I mean that sincerely. I haven’t met too many men who make that connection. I believe popular culture (i.e. music videos, TV shows, etc.) also promotes the long hair paradigm of beauty. So if you’re a woman with low self-esteem, you may be susceptible to it, and it may affect your decision to alter your physical appearance.

In my personal experience, some of the most striking women I’ve seen have shorter hair because it reveals their facial features (I think Halle looked great with her cropped cut, for example). But, I think you’re right, it’s all in the presentation. Beauty comes in all hair lengths.

Special K….. lol, I know right. Those examples did suck.. lmao. I meant on their looks alone, but I admit it’s hard to think of them, without thinking of how they act.

well damn, it’s hard to think of anyone without thinking of their actions. Well I guess any person that’s not viewed as “attractive” does it really matter, could you bring yourself to love them…..

I was just trying to let people see how you look does matter to a certain point.

  • Purpple

  • POWER OF LOVE !

    realwoman

Wait wait.. I gave you EXAMPLES of other unions that people don’t like right? Well did you know that our dna only differs slightly from a chimpanzee? Are you now going to go to the zoo and ask one out on a date? If no, why not? Same thing with children. I would like for YOU to explain to me without using the cultural stigmatisms why they shouldn’t be allowed as well. Go on now…

I mean according to NAMBLA there are young children who actually like having relations with adults. They even take pictures and show each other. If the kid is game would it be ok in your eyes?

    ————————————————-

I don’t know how me saying,

“I think it’s really unfortunate that you would equate people of the, pedophilia and bestiality with sleeping with someone of another “race””, prompt you to ask me,

“Are you now going to go to the zoo and ask one out on a date? If no, why not? Same thing with children. “If the kid is game would it be ok in your eyes?”, LMAO!.

    but here it goes,

With the facts that are known about children, concerning their development and their lack of “true” understanding of there actions it’s very easy to see that the “ADULT”, whether the child was interested or not, would be taking advantage of the “CHILDS” physical and mental state.

As for the zoo animals, come on now, although it was funny, you know your reaching with that one, LMAO !. I’ve never heard of an animal presenting itself in such away as to have a “Person” beleive that that animal was interested in engaging in sex or in anyway consenting to doing so. Although it could be possible that the person engaging in sex with the animal somehow rationalized in “there own mind” that the animal was ” somehow asking for it”.

Ok, as you asked my answers had nothing to do with what society frowns upon, but are based solely on common sense.

  • Anonymous3 – the fire sign

please explain why Dominicans who look like Americans of African Descent (African Americans) and share African Ancestry don’t consider themselves Black….lets be clear ..Black is not indicative of where you are from but more so a reference of your skin color…why because Dominicans happent to speak spanish and have latin names….true the culture is different for those who just came over…but not for those born here….

  • Sydney

And, to add, because this has crossed my mind more than once, I’ve read the word “nappy” written on this blog repeatedly in a derogatory fashion — there’s nothing wrong with those of us who have naturally coarse hair. It’s part of our heritage and our identity.

Don Imus equated “nappy-headed” to ugliness, but there’s no part of us that’s ugly or inferior.

Natural or permed, straight or curly, we are beautiful.

  • Anonymous3 – the fire sign

I think the comments about nappy head this and nappy head that are made by people who are still affected by a slave mentality….they think that if it’s not straight like Mastah’s then it’s not right…there’s something wrong with it

  • POWER OF LOVE !

    @ realwoman

By the way what I said about someone who desires to be with animals is also is also true of some “Pedophiles”. They have managed to rationalize their desire to be with children in their own minds by believing that the “Child” wanted it.

  • Special K

    @ Nina

Yeah you are right I mean I guess for anybody you have to have something you are physically attracted to. But I mean some people just have a beautiful spirit about them like Oprah she is just a genuine person to me . and even Jay Z who is not attractive to me but I look at him and have seen him in interviews and I have I bet he would be cool to hang out with sometimes you can overlook the looks if the character is strong enough. You know what I mean?

  • Just Some Cat

“Those men that always swirl usually have small d*cks, and know they are inadequate. So when I see a black man consistently swirling, I know he is doing me a favor.”

My Lord your ignorance knows no bounds..

“We black women should not be checking for anyone that is not checking for us, as much as I may love black men,I will swirl before I wonder “why wont any good black man have me” Naomi Campbell swirls and she is never by herself she always has a man, and her men aint asking her for gas money either.”

So let me gets this straight. You don’t like men who get down like that, but will then get down like that yourself?

    Youz iz krazy…

scanclodike you are an ass. another mutt, kind of like what Barack Obama. Well, there’s about to be a mutt in the white house then on November 4. If a white woman’s hair smells like dog, then she ain’t keeping herself clean.

“I think the comments about nappy head this and nappy head that are made by people who are still affected by a slave mentality”

Well, those folks need to grab hold of Harriet Tubman’s coattails and ride to freedom because the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. We’se free. If my hair doesn’t look like Massa’s, it doesn’t mean it’s any less beautiful. . .

  • Nina Knows

sydney… anonoymous3 I agree with both of you.

It’s that whole good hair vs. bad hair which translates to white hair vs. black hair.

There is nothing wrong with kinky, nappy hair. It’s strong and black… like me, lol.

but seriously calling white hair, good hair subliminally creates a negative conotaion in young black kids minds. They automatically think something on them is bad, when it’s just different. Kinky hair is different than straight hair. That’s all. It’s not better.

CAN SOMEBODY ON THIS BLOG NAME ME ANOTHER RACE THAT ENCOURAGES THEIR PEOPLE TO GO OUT AND DATE A BLACK PERSON.

We are the only race that wants to be accepted by other races so bad, That when we get a little money we want to leave being black and show the other races that we are not like the rest of the black people. Just name me one race that goes out of thier race to get a black woman or man when they become succesful. NFL, NHL, ANYBODY. YOU HEAR JESSE AND AL SHARPTON SAYING WE WANT JUSTICE FOR BLACKS AND HISPANICS, BUT I NEVER HEAR THE HISPANICS POLICTICAL LEADERS SAY JUSTICE FOR HISPANICS AND BLACKS. I NEVER HEAR WHITE SAY WHITE AND BLACK. ALL YOU SMART ASS ON THIS BLOG HOLLA BACK AND ANSWER THE QUESTION. BLACK PEOPLE ARE THE MOST RACIST PEOPLE ON EARTH TOWARD EACH OTHER.

Being “Black” was encouraged by the “Black Power Movement” lead by the “Black Panthers” in “opposition” to what was happening to “Negroes” and all people of color due to racism. It had less to do with the color of someones skin, do to the fact that there were and still are people of fairer complexion who consider themselves to be “Black”, and had more to do with those people of color that associated themselves with “being black” and “the movement”, because “Caucasians” who were the “Oppressor” had deemed themselves to be “white”.

People seem to have lost site of the fact that “The Black Power Movement” as well as the “Civil Rights Movement” was supported, although on the periphery, by “Whites” also.

LMAO ! Although I have no idea why you would call me a fool. You’ll have to forgive me, I tend to deal more with the facts than someones opinion of what should and shouldn’t be.

The reason why “Black Men” are at “the bottom of the pile” as you put it, is due to “Racism”. I’m not exactly sure what comments of mine your referring to when coming to the conclusion that I look like a fool, especially being that you also came to the conclusion that “Black men are at the bottom of the pile and No one has respect for you makes “you” sound “Racist”. Not only is the statement inaccurate in it’s scope but also a dangerous assumption to make. Sounds like the very same logic and rhetoric used by Racist organizations to rationalize their own short comings.

  • 12345

    @ power of love

I totally agree with what you said, i am in the process of getting my masters degree in African American studies, so i am very familiar with the history of the Black Power Movement. my father actually marched with a chapter of the Black Panthers when he was in high school, so like you said, i also know that the movement was supported by some whites as well. my point however was that, too many people look at “being black” as the way you look, talk, dress, etc. when that is not true. even the people that you surround yourself with do not make or break your “whiteness” or “blackness”. i have personally had people tell me “you are black on the inside” or “you are more black than (someone that is “whitewashed”)” and i always say no. no i am not. i am white, and because i talk a certain way, or i listen to this kind of music, im still irish. in the same way that if a black person listens to rock and roll and speaks in standard american english, that does not make them any less black. that was my only point, too often people that are squares are looked at as not being black. when in fact, in mine and your definition of black, the people that have set good examples ie; educate themselves, take care of their family and community etc. are in fact the best example of what “being black” is….
:) i believe that in every culture, people should be held to the highest standards, learn about their history, and define who they are as the best person they can be, in the same way that Malcolm X, the Black Panthers, Martin L. King, Marcus Garvey, Barack Obama, etc.

Serious question: where did you get your stats from? Let’s check out the Census, courtesy of (shudder) Wiki, concentrating on the United States alone, for now (since you might be from outside the States, who knows):

Married Couples in the United States in 2006:

    – WHITE MEN

    White Wife 50,224,000

    Black Wife 117,000

    Asian Wife 530,000

    Other Wife 489,000

    – BLACK MEN

    White Wife 286,000

    Black Wife 3,965,000

    Asian Wife 34,000

    Other Wife 45,000

    – ASIAN MEN

    White Wife 174,000

    Other Wife 13,000

    – OTHER MEN (talk about a catchall category)

    White Wife 535,000

    Black Wife 23,000

    Asian Wife 41,000

    Other Wife 558,000

Caucasian Americans are the least likely to marry interracially, although in absolute terms Caucasian Americans are involved in interracial marriages more than any other racial group.

1.9% of married Caucasian American women and 2.2% of married Caucasian American men have a non-Caucasian American spouse.

1.0% of married Caucasian American men are married to an Asian American woman, and 1.0% of married Caucasian American women are married to a man classified as “other”.

3.7% of married African American women and 8.4% of married African American men have a non-African American spouse.

6.6% of married African American men, and 2.8% of married African American women, have a Caucasian American spouse.

Only 0.1% of married African American women are married to an Asian American man, representing the least represented marital combination.

There is a notable disparity in the rates of exogamy by Asian American males and females. Only 25% of Asian American/Caucasian American marriages involve an Asian American male and Caucasian American female, and only 15% Asian

American/African American marriages involve an Asian American male and a African American female.

19.5% of married Asian American women and 7.2% of married Asian American men have a non-Asian American spouse.

@ 12345 TELL ME WHT MARCUS GARVEY THOUGHT ABOUT INTERRATIONAL DATING? EVERY RACE SHOULD BE HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD AND LEARN ABOUT THEIR RACE. THINK ABOUT THAT Most blacks don’t even know who the hell their Daddy is how they going to know about thier race or history. We have to do DNA just to find out if the Daddy is the real Dad. what are you talking about. And you took African American History. You think Lil Wayne is an example of the highest standard for the black youth of today, his new born son, his daughter. Are you smoking weed as you blog? Or drinking

  • 12345

@ bella, my name is margaux, and please quote me where i ever said weezy was a high standard of society. i feel like what you said was exactly what i was saying, so im kind of confused. i completely agree that people have to have a stong family foundation, but i dont think that has anything to do with who you choose to date/marry. i believe that you cannot blame the black man, or any other race of man for broken homes. the women who gets pregnant by someone that is not committed to them is just as responsible. and if a woman doesnt know who her babies father is, that is her fault. and you act like this is a problem that only black people deal with. that is not true at all. this is a poor people problem. and that is exactly my point as to why we need to unite as humans. we should be working to try to help all people that are struggling in life, whether it be children, single parents, drug addicts, victims of abuse. these are things that all races of people deal with. and they are things that, unfortunately, people living in poverty are across the board dealing with this more than anyone else. this is exactly what i mean by we have more similarities than differences. as far as what you said about marcus garvey, i know he was not for interracial dating, but there were other historic african american figures who did support it, like fredrick douglass. and times were different then. this is 2008, i personally think it is time to unite, there are other things that are more important than throwing your anger at someone because of who they associate with.

  • Bella

@12345 THANK YOU FOR YOUR POINT, I GET IT. However, I can care less who people. I don’t consider myself angry, I just made a point how black men don’t really want to or get to cross over until they get some money or little sucess. AND NFL, NBA, BALL PLAYERS ARE NOT SEEN PULLING A BLACK WOMAN OUT THE GHETTO EVEN IF SHE LOOKS GOOD, YOU JUST SON’T SEE IT. Listen we could go on on and on, I understand and agree with you,It’s time for all races to unite. But it doesnt mean you must date outside your race. I have a son, and I would want him to date in his race first, but the most important thing to me is for him to be HAPPY, The lady treat him right and have some morals and belief in GOD. If she has half of this and treats my son right with respect and , respect both way. I am a happy . I just expreesed my feelings on Lil Wayne and other black men. So we can call it a truce, I get your message, I with ya!

    1. From Nati…okay okay for “Nati girl” I wont generalize…That label goes for certain locations live Over the Rhine/Bond Hill…There are probably more areas…but my @$$ didnt try to find them.

    2. Half “Pink Toe” – Gold Diggin is in her blood.

    3. Half Vietnamese – Me love ANYBODY long time for $5 dollah

    To Sad:

This also has nothing to do with race or our culture. At this point we no longer have much culture to speak of.. Do we? Don’t blame it on having multi-racial kids, thats not what is ruining our “culture”. Its the thug mentality & our men thinking they are pimps and having a bunch of different babys mama’s is cute. And the women thinking that it is ok. It is the movement away from the family. So if he is doing ANYTHING wrong it is the fact that he is bringing a man into the world that will probably be like him and knock the kind of women he knocks up.

Another thought black women we need to step our game up and also adventure outside our race/culture.

well, congrats. But one thing though, It’s odd that people are saying its normal that black women have kids without marrying. Hmmm, Im wondering was this just ms. Sarah’s shot at getting Wayne even if he doesn’t wife her. I’m giving this chick a stamp on certified golddiggin.
