Dayum! Is this extreme weather ever going to end???

The same areas of the country that were hit by crazy blizzards this Winter and ridiculous tornadoes this Spring are now being hit by extreme heat. And for the record, those same areas of the country account for half of the 50 contiguous states.

The National Weather Service has said that up to 22 states should be in the midst of a massive heatwave that will bring temps of 100+. When the humidity and heat index are factored in, the air temperatures could feel like as much as 115 to 120 degrees. The heat will be hitting parts of the Northeast and Southern sections of the country, as well as the Midwest.

According to media reports, the National Weather Service is stating that parts of Virginia, along the I-95 corridor, could get temps anywhere between 95 to 115 degrees during the height of the afternoon on Tuesday.

More hot temperatures are expected throughout the Ohio Valley and stretching back towards Kansas. The heat is also predicted to extend southward. In the south, especially, the combination of heat and humidity will bring the deadly heat index to nearly 120 degrees.

For some areas of the country there is relief on the way. In the Northeast, for example, a cold front is expected to run through the area later today. The cold front will move into northern New York state and then move on through New England. The cold front will then expand and start to extend south throughout most of the region by Tuesday night.

The cold front also brings the danger of a possibility of thunderstorms. Areas of New York and New England could get storms on Tuesday afternoon. Some of those storms could become severe and produce heavy rains, high winds and hail.

Can’t win for losing. And since this isn’t the hottest it’s ever been in this country, the possibility of sh*t getting realer absolutely exists.
