Jazmine Sullivan popped up at the House of Blues in Chi-Town to perform some tracks from her new album, which we dig. However, we would be remiss if we didn’t point out the shoe game and the big toes being left out to dry. Now, that’s just a d@mn shame. SMH.

NEW YORK – Scott McClellan, President Bush’s former press secretary who angered old colleagues with a tell-all book earlier this year, said Thursday he is backing Barack Obama for president.
McClellan is the second former administration official to back the Democratic candidate this week. Former Secretary of State Colin Powell came out Sunday for Obama.
While Powell chose “Meet the Press” to make his news, McClellan did it at the taping of comedian D.L. Hughley’s new talk show, which is premiering 10 p.m. Saturday on CNN.
Hughley found a little begging helped.
“We are a new show and your endorsement would probably mean a lot,” Hughley said. “But don’t look at the fact that I am black or, no pressure. Endorse somebody, damn it!”
McClellan, who was Bush’s chief spokesman from July 2003 to April 2006, said he’s always planned to support the candidate that has the best chance for changing the way Washington works and getting things done.
“I will be voting for Barack Obama,” he said.
McClellan is also giving an extended interview on “Larry King Live” on Friday to talk about his endorsement.
McClellan grew disillusioned after leaving the administration and wrote a book, “What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception,” that surprised many for its blunt talk. He admitted to being part of a White House effort to shade the truth about the case for war in Iraq.
The White House said Bush was surprised and saddened about the book.

I payed my $2 just like you don’t i deserve to sit too?..oh and don’t look at me side ways because I want to sit and your big ***** is taking up most if not all the room, there are 3 seats for a reason..
3. Standing Etiquette
yes the train is crowded i know..but don’t u think u are a little too close?? I can smell your breath for heaven sake..and please do not put your arm over my head to hold the pole it really isn’t that serious..
and last but not least
4. Hygiene
soap and water has got to be the cheapest thing in NY reaquaint urself with it please..funky underarms is not the new smell you don’t believe in using deodorant fine..rub lemon and lime under your arms do something..if you can spend $2 to ride the train you can afford to be clean.

The “official statement” is that it creates a more knowledgable lawyer when they can focus on studying law alone. The real reason was to create a “barrier to entry.”

Ioono. They COMPLETELY missed the point that the rule in place is a “blanket rule.” This recently sprung up on a youth in Florida and was a thread in Bossip. **sigh**

Anyway, this is a quick stat that I came across months ago: Almost 66 percent of nearly 280,000 babies born to teen mothers in 2005 were fathered by men who were 20 or older, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. Most of those men were 20 to 24 years old.

i can see that your stance on the topic was not going to change and whoever else’s wasnt either so we should just let everybody be entitled to their opinion and leave it at that. at the end of the day, it’s a message board or whatever (no reason to get hot).
Also (my opinion), I think young girls should spend more time with their books and other regular teen activities than having sex with boys while their minds and bodies are still maturing. You have your whole life to engage in sex — You’re only a kid once. Also, having a baby isn’t like adding another Barbie to your collection. It’s a life-long responsibility and requires young mothers to mature very quickly.
Virginity is precious and should be preserved for as long as possible, IMHO. Instead of humping, I think teens should put more energy into preparing for the future. Put all that restless energy into applying for college.
I’m sorry for your experience, Daywalker. Clearly, she was a sick woman. She was your teacher, right? Teachers have been convicted in similar situations. It’s a very serious matter.

This is horrible news breaking right now. This afternoon, firemen were called to the scene of a Chicago residence that caught on fire. Two victims (one male, one female) were discovered on the scene, and it has been confirmed that the house belonged to Jennifer Hudson’s mother Darnell Hudson Donerson. Then just moments ago, it was confirmed that one of the victims was indeed Jennifer’s mother:
Fire officials said two bodies were discovered inside a home belonging to Hudson’s mother just before 3:00 this afternoon.
The home is located at 7019 South Yale in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood.
A representative of the family’s church, Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist, told reporters that 57-year-old Darnell Hudson was one of the victims.

This is incredibly sad and horrible news. Jennifer is also set to get married within the next year to her fiance David Otunga. Our condolences to Jennifer and her family. R.I.P.
UPDATE: News stations are now reporting that Jennifer’s mother Darnell Hudson and the other unidentified victim were killed by gunshot before the house caught fire. It is also being reported that Jennifer’s niece, her sister’s daughter, is now being held for ransom. Story still developing…
UPDATE 2: Neighbors of Jennifer’s mother are now reporting that the unidentified male victim is Jennifer’s brother Jason.
