Things got real over in Vancouver.

In case you’re not familiar with it, Cash Cab is the show where host Ben Bailey picks people up in his cab and asks them a series of trivia questions with a chance to earn some serious moolah. Things turned ugly, though, as one of the show’s drivers accidentally ran over and killed a 61-year-old man after the show finished filming shortly after midnight.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his friends and his family.” said Andrew Burnstein, president of the company that produces the Canadian version of “Cash Cab.” “My heart also goes out to the driver of the vehicle, a member of our technical staff, who is shaken and devastated by this tragic accident, as is our entire team.”

No charges have been filed, but we’re sure they’ll be more careful in the future. We can’t listen to cell phones while driving, but these people can run a full-on television show from behind the wheel? Hmmm…
