Happy Birthday to Nelson Mandela. The guy that Morgan Freeman played is celebrating a milestone B-day.

It’s a big day in South Africa as there are major concerts and celebrations going on to commemorate the big day. Millions of South African students sang Happy Birthday, ringing out to the former President. Even our own President offered some congrats: “Mandela is a beacon for the global community, and for all who work for democracy, justice and reconciliation.”

Everyone has been asked to contribute 67 minutes of public service to mark the 67 years of public service Mandela took part in in his life.

In case you didn’t know, Mandela was jailed for 27 years for his battle against apartheid and won the Nobel Peace Prize for his work. Happy Birthday from us at Bossip.
