Rodney King and his Dark & Lovely texturized kitted up crop talks bout his stint on the Celebrity Rehab show:
Rodney King is swigging a beer as he talks with TV’s “Dr. Drew” Pinsky. “Every day I wake up with a beer is a good day,” he says as he drains the bottle. King, whose on the second season of VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab,” is still dealing with drug and alcohol dependencies. King calls his participation on the show and new found sobriety “a blessing.”
King: It felt like I was, in one way, helping a generation before me and a generation coming up after me, to let them see a good, fairly decent human being struggle with this disease. After a while, I didn’t even really notice the cameras. I threw that out of my mind and just focused on me and what I was there for. What I was there for was to help myself, and at the same time I knew that by me being upfront with this thing that other people would see and they might think, ‘It’s not so embarrassing, let me go get myself some help.’
Although Celebrity Rehab ain’t sh*t, we can’t knock him getting help. Besides, anything is better than getting shot in the face.

why is there a second season of this rehab show and he’s still on it? Doesn’t sound like he’s getting the help he needs – just getting paid.

i am sure he will be a very sucessful man, so many of us has felt his pain and prayed for him.
i checked it out last night…they had dude lookin like he was more than just an alcoholic–sweatin & rockin & stuff. i felt soooo bad for him.

I do feel for Rodney King and pray for him. He has to be emotionally scarred from getting beat like a pinata by LAPD. I hope he does kick his habits.
Just a little bit of celebrity is enough to f**k you up for the rest of your life. Rodney is more infamous than famous so his celebrity is *****ociated with an beatdown by onetime. He has no talent that we know of, yet has a penchant for staying in the news. How can anything positive come out of your life when all the things your dealing with are negative i.e. (beatdowns, drug addictions. getting shot while on a bike, and alcholholism.) Do some real community work for about 3 years, then come back and say I’m Rodney King remember me, this is what I’m doing to help others.

What the hell are you people talking about? I can’t believe people feel sorry and defend this s*****bag. After endangering the lives of the police and the general population in the first incident in 1991, he got caught again doing the same thing and endangering MORE lives. I don’t deny the fact that the beating was entirely out of line, but that did not cause his addiction. People are responsible for their own actions and their own habits and addictions. He is nothing but a low life addict trying to use his tiny bit of celebrity to get paid because he can’t man up and get a job. This *****bag should be in jail.
