According to a report by Livesteez, Pittsburgh Steeler’s WR Santonio Holmes was busted for possession of marijuana.
Pittsburgh Steeler receiver Santonio Holmes will be charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession after a traffic stop in which police smelled burning marijuana and found marijuana-filled cigars in his car. He’s going to be summoned,” said police Sgt. R. Griffith, meaning Holmes was not arrested after the incident Thursday, but will receive notice of the charge in the mail. The charge, possession of a small amount of marijuana, is punishable by up to a year in jail but probation or a fine is common in most cases. Police said the 24-year-old Holmes acknowledged having marijuana when stopped and pointed out the blunts to officers. “We’re aware of what happened and are still gathering information at this time and will not comment,” Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett said Friday. Holmes and his agent have yet to release a comment, reports the Associated Press. The third-year player didn’t have his license when police stopped him around 4 p.m. near Mellon Arena, the home of hockey’s Pittsburgh Penguins.
Since herb is exceedingly popular here in the states and internationally, the question practically asks itself: Isn’t it time for the legal systems everywhere to concede on the war against Marijuana and try to legitimize it’s sale and distribution?

Now the burning question on my mind is why are all these black men constantly being caught while being “at a traffic stop” where police just happen to always smell burning marijuana, or see cigar butts!?!
I mean are the cops tailing these guys or are these guys doing something so out of the ordinary to bring attention to themselves. Oh let me guess DWB…driving while black…and in a nice car at that. Look black man if your gonna smoke do the ***** in the comfort of your own home, where there are no cops!!! And if cops are coming to your door, then thats a whole nother story entirely!
More important to me is this:
If marijuana becomes legal/decriminalized…WHO will make the bulk of the money from it’s sale & distribution?
Legalizing it means paying TAXES & adding dead weight to your business infrastructure.It might also mean you could’nt get the high mark-up for it that you could when it was illegal.I wonder if some dealers would rather just keep it illegal to maintain high margins.(?)

This really isn’t a question about weed being legal. Its more a question of how incredibly *****ing stupid,young black athletes are. You know the rules going in:WEED and *****E will cost you your CAREER if you are caught with it. How stupid do you have to be,to lose thousands and in some cases,MILLIONS,because you can’t do without some weed? Pro athletes know that weed and *****e will get them,fined,suspended and in severe cases,DROPPED! So instead of just counting all that money that comes in,they continue to grow more ignorant with each p*****ing day,and get caught with weed. If anything, drug use ought to be stigmatized even more. Why encourage, even p*****ively, anything that’s going to make black people weaker of mind and discipline than we already are? Why not reward strength for a change? Save your support or sympathies for the people who don’t use drugs, who aren’t criminals (even petty ones)?
