I have always supported Obama and I will serve the President well once he takes office. At he same time, I find it quite disturbing that after hundreds of millions of dollars, endless travel around the nation and the world, endless blogs/reports/comments/counter-comments, and after a sensational amount of time spent, we are only engaged, it seems, in an activity to improve our image, our abilities to think of greater self potential, and perhaps more peace in the general global population.

Not that those things are not critical for human existence, but I dare say that I see much of this progress as superficial. I do not see direct and immediate links between the massive energy to elect one man to the Oval Office to what is being played out in the daily lives of ordinary citizens like those in Philly. Those of you who live amongst known murders who have zero interest or capacity for self-realization know exactly what I am talking about.

So the question is, when are we truly going to exert the same amount of energy and passion to save ourselves?

People have to watch out for that “I want a bad boy crap”. When you bring an underachiever in the midst of a prospering family there is a real potential for all kinds of hell to break loose. These fools, perhaps for the first time in their lives, begin sizing themselves up against what is going on in their newly introduced environment. They may not like what they discover. They may discover just how nothing they really are and that may produce a latent time bomb just waiting to blow. In a prosperous setting they can only see how they have made no significant contributions whatsoever. It is a real downer with horrible consequences.

How many times have we seen this kind of vicious act played out? How many times have we witnessed the low-life family member or acquaintance who lashes out and violently slash all innocence simply because they hate love and progress? This message particularly goes out to Philly where our people have not done nearly enough to turn in all those murderers freely walking about the community. Those bastards prey on people who look like them because they are reminded of the lack of respect they have for themselves. We allow them to live to kill again and again. What is wrong with us?

@who am I: Definitely more than meets the eye which I have been sayin’ from day 1. It looks like the mama might be involved; but what if it is the brother, or the gay sister no one talks about? Y’all faces will be cracked rushin’ to judgment. Something is definitely not right here. If it was about money, Jennifer would have paid it. All this dramatic slaughter and not to wind up with anything — it is not making sense. If we find out the truth, it will be pretty deep.

OMG, I’m amazed at how cruel and nasty some people are… I hope to god that nothing like this (tragedy)ever happens to your LOVED ones… because say whatever nasty comments you want about this family!! they are still people with feelings, and they are suffering right now…. Marquis de Sade, you a a funny guy! Honest, but funny nonetheless. As quiet as it’s kept, I am feeling you. Washington Park, none of us know what has transpired or caused this tragedy. This is such an atrocity! It just goes to show that no one is immune, not even an Oscar winning actress. It’s a DAMN shame and speaks to the larger dysfunctional aspect of what has now become normalized Black culture in this country. I would like to make a bit of a prediction. The person that everyone thinks committed the crime…I’m doubtful her did it. Even though he was locked up for attempted murder, homeboy doesn’t necessarily look like a murderer (whatever a murderer looks like). I personally feel like there is more to this story than the public knows. The murder of these 2 was personal. So, he go kicked out of the Hudson’s home, it seems like he had alternate housing by way of his mother. Keep in mind, that this Balfour guy has yet to be charged with ANYTHING! He just hasn’t spoken as if he’s protecting something or someone. He hasn’t even said anything about the whereabouts of that little boy. Something ain’t smelling right and it’s a lot more than big momma’s (fill in the blank). I’m gonna play nice because this is a tragic and sensitive subject and I want to maintain some degree of respectability. I’m sure that once more is discovered, the public will be updated on the developments. Although this is incredible heinous, something about this is not sitting well with me. 1TrueDiva, you the direction I’m going in. Even if homeboy admits to doing something, he’s just there to play the role of the scapegoat. Let me end with this, that convict dude did not look big enough to take J-Hud’s brother out. Sorry! Her brother looked all sorts of rough & tumble was not gonna let his corny ex-convict behind do anything to his mom or allow him touting some gun to frighten him. All I can do is SMDH to this one cause this was so unnecessary.
