I am not surprised that she did nothing. Previously when one/some of their supporters chanted “Kill him” at a rally, she said nothing. She had the floor, a huge microphone and security to back her up, and could have easily said something to counteract the hatred, but no. This is yet one more reason to NOT support the McCain/Palin ticket. Lots of talk (lies, half truth and spin) and absolutely NO action. I am just curious, but has anyone else seen or heard of anyone in the media asking McCain or Palin why no action is taken when hateful words are said about Obama at their rallies?

I put some blame on Sarah Palin, for not addressing it..she should have said that type of behavior won’t be tolerated or had them leave the premises because that’s not what they’re campaign is about..but she didnt do that

ATF Arrests Arkansas, Tennessee Men in Plot to Kill Obama

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) – Two men have been charged with making threats against presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tennessee and Paul Schlesselman, 18, of West Helena were charged in a federal complaint last Friday of illegal possession of a sawed-off shotgun, conspiracy to rob a federal firearms licensee, and making threats against a major candidate for the Office of President.
According to the complaint, Cowart and Schlesselman met via the Internet through a mutual friend last month, with both men claiming to have very strong beliefs regarding “White Power” and “Skinhead” philosophies.
The complaint said the pair discussed robbing a gun shop in order to gather weapons and ammunition to use in a ‘killing spree.’
On October 20, 2008, Cowart allegedly traveled from Tennessee to Arkansas to pick up Schlesselman in order to carry out their plan.
According to the complaint, the defendants further discussed their killing spree to include targeting a predominately African American school, and to continue their spree until their final act of violence, which would be to attempt to **********inate Obama.
Officials said Cowart and Schlesselman stated that they would be willing to die during their attempt.
The pair was arrested on October 22, 2008 by the Crockett County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Department.
Cowart and Schlesselman appeared in court Monday, and are scheduled to appear again at a detention hearing on October 30th.

It shows a lack of courage to have not said anything. With all of the things being shouted at these rallies, a person with a strong sense of right and wrong and the courage of their convictions would say something. A true leader would say something, and she wants to lead the country. They will lose. The only thing they have left is to run an honorable campaign. They are not doing that. That will be her legacy and unfortunately John McCains as well. He has had an honorable career, but this will be how he is remembered.
These kinds of things have been yelled at a lot of their rallies. You would think that they would have been prepared for it by now and would have decided how they were going to deal with it. Either they havent prepared (which shows a lack of forethought) or they have decided to ignore it on purpose.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think that Obama would have let a person in his audience say something like that unchallenged. He would have explained to them why it was wrong. He does not seem to have a problem with debating anyone he disagrees with anytime or anywhere. I am pretty conservative, but I am voting for Obama because I long for a president who is well spoken and intelligent. I have been ashamed of GWB. We need to elect a president that we can be proud of. Even if I disagree with some of his views, I think that Barack Obama is an educated and intelligent person. This is SO SAD, why is race so much as an issue then the actual ECONOMIC problems we have in this country? True there are black people voting for Barrack because he is by means closer to their color, but there are white people voting for McCain simply because he is white. But for the facts, do the math. I work 5 days a week and I am struggling like crazy. Gas is taking all of my money just to get to and from work. Just do the math people, it’s not about color.

Barack has this election sewed up, but I think it’s unfair to attribute that person’s comment as representative of the McCain/Palin campaign. They don’t have any control over who attends their ralleys. With that said, however, she could at least spoke out against the comment.
This election will measure the will of the American people. If Obama wins, it shows that country is prepared for transformation leadership. If he loses, it shows that a major of the country is still living in fear, prejudice and the past.

It is really sad that a country like America is held back by some who want to maintain the ignorance and racial custom of America’s past.
