Bossip Hosts Private "Attack The Block" Screening In Atlanta

You ever wonder what would happen if an alien invasion hit the projects instead of coming down on downtown L.A., Washington D.C. or NYC?

Imagine the neighborhood “gangsta” from those PJs deciding to take on the Aliens themselves. That’s exactly what British comic actor Joe Cornish was going for with “Attack The Block.” The story follows a group of hooligans who, after a half-a** mugging, catch fade with some random alien jawn who crashed in their ‘hood. And you know once she goes down, the men of her planet are going to be out for revenge.

“Attack The Block” has been making waves in the film world and Hollyweird for the last few months. Not only did it win the “Audience Award” at SXSW and the LA Film Festival, but it is also breaking barriers as an sci-fi movie starring a predominantly African-American cast.

Plus, it’s a Sci-Fi movie that pretty much laughs at itself and the whole premise. Think “Shaun of the Dead” in the hood with Aliens instead of zombies. (It was produced by the same people.)
