Get Ya Gear Up: Some Notably Embarrassing Failed Celebrity Clothing Lines
Yesterday, we highlighted some celebrity sneakers that embarrassed everyone involved. Well, that’s not the only area where celebrities have stumbled.
Here are a few celebrity clothing lines that died in a blaze of sadness and defeat.
State Property – Beanie Sigel has had some tax problems recently. They could have been avoided if his hood clothing company were still around. These joints even had spots to conceal a gun in the pants. What store is gonna sell that?
J. Lo – It never works for a clothing line to not have the main person not rocking the gear. Lopez’s clothing line went away but she swears it’s coming back better than ever. We’ll see.
Outkast – Another example of a clothing line failing when the endorsers don’t rock the gear. Andre 3000 was busy wearing bras and fur, but Outkast Clothing was straight up urban. The two didn’t blend.
No Limit Clothing – All this sh*t was straight up knockoff designs that had No Limit on it. The whole thing was a fiasco that didn’t have a chance.
Bushi Sport – This came and went without anyone really knowing it was around. Did you ever look at Busta Rhymes and say, “he looks fly”? Nope? Maybe that’s why the line failed.
LL Cool J’s Sears Collection – Ladies love Cool J. But nobody seemed to love Cool James’ clothing line at Sears. He tried to give us affordable urban clothing but it all looked like cheap a$$ Ed Hardy. You’re better than that, L.

DMX Clothing Line – DMX’s clothing is mostly orange jumpsuits these days, so he isn’t doing much fashion. Maybe he’ll bring it back after some time out of the clink. But the clothing line is definitely dead.
Ziami – Most of you ladies out there want to see Boris Kudjoe without any clothes on, so maybe that’s why his clothing line didn’t go so well. It was a totally obscure international line that didn’t go as well as he thought it would. At least there’s that hit NBC spy show, right?
Lauren Conrad – Remember her designing on her reality show? Maybe she should stick to her best-selling writing…or not. The line never had a chance.
Snoop Dogg – He must have been high to want to get kids rocking his gear. That’s just not gonna happen. Maybe he could have gotten them into it in 1993, but waiting until 2000 when everyone else had a line was not a good look.
Nostic – Remember “Ballin”? Yeah, Jim Jones tried to ride that popularity all the way to the top. However, this clothing line didn’t get things popping. Whatever happened to Jimmy anyway?
