Looks like the Young Money CEO is not gonna let Ye and Jay have their shine right now.

Birdman was interviewed by and had a few interesting things to say. First of all, he’s confirming a Weezy/Drake album a la WTT. And he’s also throwing a bit of shade in The Throne’s direction.

Rap fans in love with Jay-Z and Kanye West’s joint album, Watch the Throne, can brace themselves for another release by different hip-hop dynamic duo: Lil Wayne and Drake.

Although he didn’t name a tentative date, Cash Money Records founder Bryan “Baby” Williams confirmed with XXL that Weezy and Drizzy will definitely be putting out a collaborative album together well after each deliver their respective solo efforts.

“Wayne and I recently talked about [the Weezy/Drake collabo album]…That’s definitely going to get done.”

“It’s older versus younger,” Baby said. “I listened to a few songs [off Watch The Throne] and it feels like an older feel to me. I think with Drake and Wayne, they young. They young cats. You got 23 and 28. Then you got Jay-Z and them, who are older and really on their way out the game. Then you got Wayne and Drake and them, who are still youthful to the game. So, it’s two different types of music all the way across the board.

“But what they’re doing is great,” he added. “I think it’s great for the game, great for the business, great for retail as a whole. I just think when Wayne and Drake get together is going to be something real special also because we more youthful.”

Birdman and Jay have always traded subliminals so it’s conceivable this is a little jab. Or Baby is just trying to shift attention to his label since Weezy’s album is right around the corner. The YMCMB guys have a lot of work to do to get the album on people’s minds after The Throne has dominated the early part of August.

“we more youthful”? Uh, Mr. Wliiams? Ain’t you like 50 years old? Who is this “we” you are referring to? Furthermore, neither Wayne or Drake will EVER achieve the level of commercial success Ye and Hov have. It ain’t gonna happen. Might I add, YMCMB’s frivolous spending is gonna be their downfall.

Somethings he said is true like Drake/Weezy going for the younger audience, but him being young yea young and dumb wit no money Kanye is worth more than him on the Forbes list let alone coming close to Jay-z and he want to talk like a Boss go SAT DOWN SOME WHERE NAGGA!!!

@Truth Nobody does a million no more only person come close to those numbers is Lady Gaga Taylor Swift and lady antabellum or whatever them pop and country stars and todays #’s are like #500,000 for them tops not even Beyonce pushed half million copies yet to this day. I be the first to say Iam not a Jay-z fan but it was said by the reporter of forbes last years list that came out he answered the question on forbes blog and said baby doesn’t have the same total earnings as Jay-z or Diddy for that year so two years or more now Baby hasn’t made it to the top two so how you going tell me Truth Baby worth as much as Jay-z it don’t make cents and if it don’t make cents it don’t make dollars like Baby because we all know Wayne and Drake is the hardest workers @CMR while Baby takes their money. Donna ya know also Wayne uses Drake to because he’s another Kanye no difference in them Carters there. LOL:-P
