Lil Wayne Has A “Brilliant” Idea: He’s Releasing ‘Carter IV’ Digitallly First…But When?!

- By Bossip Staff Categories: Attention Slores, News, We Broke It Here First!

Weezy is trying to do anything he can these days to get people excited about his album.

Looks like Lil Wayne actually was watching The Throne and decided to copy the kings by dropping his highly-anticipated album digitally first. Carter IV will be released online right after the MTV VMAs on Sunday. For those that want the physical copy, you’ll have to wait until August 29th to cop it.

Here’s his statement: “I am extremely excited to be the first artist to utilize such an amazing idea. I hope that I can open the door for others.”

Um…first? Didn’t Jay and Kanye just do this? Yeah, we thought so.

Still, the question remains: are you even excited for The Carter IV anymore?
