After years of construction, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial is finally ready for the public. Here’s a sneak peak for those not in the D.C. area.
The memorial features a tall granite statue inspired by his “I Have A Dream” speech. The memorial opened today at 11 a.m., starting off a week of MLK celebrations to commemorate the new statue. The statue is also taller than the Lincoln Memorial, standing 30 feet tall.
