This coming Monday is Labor Day, a federal holiday observed as a day of festivities held in honor of working people, in the United States and Canada on the first Monday in September.

But in the city of Atlanta, the first Monday in September has a different meaning. This weekend in the ATL is the 6th annual Luda Day Weekend.

For the past six years, Atlanta rapper Ludacris has taken over Labor Day weekend in the A and turned the holiday into his own celebration, through a series of parties, charity events and concerts, drawing celebrities from all over the country to join in on the party.

Luda Day got us thinking…what if other rappers decided to took over holidays or in some cases, just make up their own.
