There are black people out there who don’t want Obama to win because they fear if he doesn’t do well according to whites, that somehow he will embarr***** us all.

I am waiting for the day when any American regardless of color can be a bad President of the United States and not be a reflection on their racial or ethnic group. Now that is progress and I think we’re on the first step, which is an intelligent black man who can and will be a good President.

Isn’t it amazing that some of these people who hate Obama bemoan whites for not allowing blacks the opportunity to live outside societies’ expectations.

Now comes an African-American and they decry that he doesn’t belong where he aspires to. If anything these past 20 months should teach black folks to giet up off our butts and become involved in our country. That’s right, America is our country too. We deserve to be here just like whites. We are as equally American as they are.

Get out and vote and let’s work hard to get past these racist ideas in this society. That also means it’s time to retire these stupid “white people are so stupid” jokes. It’s time for these comedians to get past these dumb jokes, also including jokes that demean blacks let’s aspire to a higher level of thinking please.

If Obama wins, let’s all remember we still live in a country with people who hate us, so, be excited, enjoy it but, don’t behave as though we’ve somehow conquered “whitey”, because we haven’t and we need to set a better example than they have always set since they brought our ancestors here.
