Coon of The Day

Posted by Bossip Staff

We know what you are thinking, it has got to be T-Pain right? No, the coon of the day is the iced out idiot to the right of him, Slave Boi:

Last week in Atlanta, in a interview with Soulja Boy Tell Em. A reporter asked him, “What historical figure do you most hate?” He was stumped. I said, “Others have said Hitler, bin Laden, the slave masters…” He said, “Oh wait! Hold up! Shout out to the slave masters! Without them we’d still be in Africa.”

“We wouldn’t be here,” he continued, to get this ice and tattoos.”

F*cking Sambo.

this little ***** ain’t stopping *****odies progress.

    @Myche

    that ish ain’t funny.

To all the intelligent black people I challenge you to educated someone less fortunate like Soulja Boy. There are so many kids out there without a clue, give an hour to a boys and girls club, a church, just have a conversation with one, we have to do better. If you don’t know your history you are doomed to repeat it. Each one Teach one.

Hopefully he’ll be getting a call from Kayne, Ice T is probably feeling Soulja boy for the first time.

  14. always knew

Ignorance at it’s finest…Soulja Boy, doesn’t it make you happy, that so many people went out to support him?? I’m certaintly glad I didn’t. It’s not hating on people or not wanting them to get out of the hood, but when the hood is sooooooo entrenched, you ‘ll find they are still enslaved anyway…NEXT!…

  15. Charlotte NC

I just wish Soulja Boy would go away, and T-Pain just go back to his old style. PLEASE!!!

    It’s just too much

  16. Miss Take

There’s a whole generation of these types. Y’all know who they are- the ones who could’ve been prevented with a 25 cent condom…the type who makes you turn your ipod on louder and/or leave the subway car b/c of their stupid talk…the type that prides himself on speaking gutter English… the type that uses the word ***** in every other sentence…the type that has MLK and all his ancestors turning in their graves… the type that will hopefully SOON be bred out. The modern day slave.

  17. last$2

We have had a very rough history and alot of people don’t want to admit it, but being bought to America was the best thing that could have happen to black folks, granted it could have been done by another means but that has what has made us stronger as a people, sometimes you have to think outside the box, come out of the black and white and lean toward the grey area.

  18. MLK

He look like an idiot so I am not surprised. Coon of the day is definitely titled earn by this fool. Listen I am not an Ice T fan at all but I understood where he was coming from when he address this imbecile. Thank god his career is on the downside.

  21. HOLLYWOOD BS

As an African, living in Africa ( oh! yes, we have internet) the comment disgusts me. But it’s soulja boy, do you really expect anything of substance from this idiot?

What bugs me is that the African American culture is used as the standard for all black culture. The rest of the world defines all black people based on African American culture. That just *****es me off. Compared to Africa and South America, America has the smallest number of black people in the world. Just my country alone has more black people than America. And my country is just 1 out of 53 countries in Africa. Lagos alone has more black people than all the blacks in America. Same in some countries in South America. So it bugs me when people judge me based on African American culture

When I visit the U.S, people are always like, why do you dress like this? why is your accent so different? why do you do this? you are suppose to act this way. I feel like slapping them across the face. BEING BLACK DOESN’T AUTOMATICALLY MEAN I AM AFRICAN AMERICAN.

Outside America, blacks have their own cultures. In carribeans, they have their own distinct culture, different from the African American culture. Same as in Brazil, cuba, Europe and all the 53 countries of Africa.

  22. Obama supporters need to beat down hateful rednecks!

    @ Last$2

Im sure slavery was the best thing that happened to the Africans that were whipped, abused, raped and killed!!

thanks for making me see the light! *rolls eyes*

  23. Bringthanoize

I can’t believe KRS ONE co signed this ignorant kid on BET’s Rap City awhile back- wtf?

The kultural dumbing down of Hip Pop is self evident no more Chuck D’s allowed in the mainstream only the Flavor Flav’s and Flavor has more historical sense than this newbie ring tone rapper Soulja Boy.

The record label is his new slave ship and record label CEO his new slave owner ie “The Death Of Rhythm & Blues” by Nelson George- read it!!!

  24. That Nupe Figure

He is the PRIME reason, people CONTINUE to see as a non-equal ans NI***RS! I can’t believe WE (as a community) put money in his pocket for this COONERY! I am an college-degreed, educated, pretty laid back, hard-working individual who has remained pretty close to his community but GREW UP! Why is it that SOULJA BOY can live to be a representative for our community?

We really need to re-*****yze who we look up to! Let’s grow up, hell OBAMA is about to be PRESIDENT!

  25. Bozo D. Clown

    What an idiot…

  26. HOLLYWOOD BS

    @ last$2

You are the typical ignorant black man. Slavery was a by-product of colonization ( or the other way around, depending on how you want to look at it). Both elements are what led to the destruction of Africa. Slavery and colonization are complementary. If both didn’t happen, Africa would be a different place today.

  27. kevwebb "I'm so FLY I gotta shop at the SKY mall!!"

Seriously…at first I was like why did Ice T tell Soulja Boy to “eat a *****?” Now I see. This is a f*cking idiot. Where do these dudes come from? And we actually buy records from these clowns and support their habits (ice, drugs, etc).

Not that other black countries are irrelevant, Black Americans are more visible in popular culture, Music, Journalism, Film than our brothers and sisters in the motherland and beyond. Don’t be bothered by it Black Americans have brought worldwide attention to many of the issues in Africa and beyond. This is a time for unity not division.

Rappers are so pathetic and stupid and yet they are constantly running off at the mouth voicing their stupid ***** opinions. Please you *****in, retarded people in Rap *****ty so-called music, please, stop giving interviews. You are too stupid to breathe much less to talk!!! I hate these *****s.

  39. HOLLYWOOD BS

    @ blaq

I should be bothered by it because I am not African American. Your culture and lifestyle is completely different from mine. I actually find it ignorant for someone to consider me African American just because I am black.

For statement can black Americans are bringing worldwide attention to issues in African is debatable. There’s a difference between a publicity stunt (like Jay-z going to a village in Nigeria and building a water tap with MTV cameras chronicling every aspect of his attempt to “save africa”) and genuine help which is actually changing real lives. I should end here cos I really don’t want to get into politics. Roofs will blow off if I do.

I happen to live in Africa ok? and it’s a pretty damn good life over here.

  46. blaq

Please don’t give Soulja boy more credit than he deserves. He’s what 18, in my opinion he is a product of his parents, his community, and his record label. A soulja boy will get a deal before a Lupe Fiasco, support underground hip hop, true hip hop. Now when a child says something ignorant is the responsibility of his elders to correct him, everyone who supported his ***** should check his *****, and I don’t feel they were wrong in their support old ***** Ice was dead wrong for his comments, so he got checked by the hip hop community, it’s Soulja boy’s turn now.

  47. DoubleStandard

    @blaq

how you gonna talk about teaching kids and yet calling that kid the N word in the same comment? I’m so tired of this double standard, complaining about others using the N word yet we keep using it ourselves. We want to ban the word yet we’re the ones who keep popularizing its usage. So it’s alright to use it because we black?

Oh boy. Here goes the infighting again. This could have been the PERFECT post to get some educated talk going. You know– to share ideas and remedies for the disease called Afro-American ignorance. But instead, what do we do? We scrap the subject altogether and fight amongst eachother!

Typical Black behavior. Had it not been for positive Blacks in the U.S. like Obama and Michelle, I would’ve handed in my black card like yesterday. We are truly embar*****ing.

  51. last$2

And I am glad you do, I just feel like there is always moaning and groaning about Africa this and that damn I am in the US the entertainers you see on tv in front of the camera’s in Africa always come back to the US, I just feel like stop complaining if Africa is where you want to be go to Africa, but can we please move on, I think there is a way to appreciate your past while still moving on, it is what it is…I have never been to Africa nor do I have the desire to go, does that make me ignorant and unlearned, sorry.

  53. HOLLYWOOD BS

@ Obama supporters need to beat down hateful rednecks!

I am denying that African Americans and Africans are not of the same blood. I’m just saying that we are different people.

When I was doing my study abroad in America, most African Americans I encountered won’t even talk to me. They will go around school telling people that I was gay because I didn’t dress or act or talk like them. Suffice to say, I rarely interacted with them. I am not saying all African Americans are like that, I am just giving an example. I did meet a few African Americans who were very welcoming and knew alot about the rest of the world. We might be of the same blood but we are different people. Thus, it is ignorant to consider me an African American because I am black. We speak different languages, we come from different backgrounds, we have different values, accents and cultures.

    Point made? hope so.

But i KNOW that your not one of them…right?

  59. blaq

    @ hollywood

don’t be afraid to talk politics, I doubt if you have anything that will blow my roof off. Publicity or not, they still got a water pump no? What about Oprah’s school, yeah it got publicity but how many girls are getting educations. You have the right to be proud of your culture, I’m proud of my culture too, but Black Americans’ global recognition should not take anything from you, and is not responsible for the ignorance of thinking any race is all the same. Just like all spanish speaking hispanics are not from mexico. All asians are not from China, but the Chinese are more prominent than many other Asian cultures. Again our cultures probably have more in common than you care to acknowledge. God is very prominent in both of our cultures so is family, I’m sure your mama braided your hair before you went to school just like mine did.

  60. Exxon300

***** them young punks. They don’t stand for the rest of us. When they run out money and fame, they will want to join the ranks of other Blacks. Let’s leave they ***** right over there. Them rednecks can say all they want but, we are here to stay. Yes, we may be over here for that reason, but I guarantee you this with Obama coming. They hate they brought us over now. And yea, you got a former desendent of a slave as your commander and chief. Sleep on that *****.

  61. Obama supporters need to beat down hateful rednecks!

Its seems that the bad seeds of every race and culture seem to represent that race or culture. While those who actually make a difference goes ignored. now why is that?

  62. HOLLYWOOD BS

@ Obama supporters need to beat down hateful rednecks

and have you wondered why they won’t hang around with African Americans? food for thought.

skin bleaching? nice try. We don’t wear weaves for starters ( alek wek anyone?), and we are very proud of traditional clothes and culture, marrying a white woman is actually an offense to black women in most African cultures etc etc

Who is more white-washed? you decide!!

  63. Tracey

Did battyboy really say that LOL, that is some ignorant as ***** that belongs in the west indies.

Facts are the ice and the money comes truly from 3rd world countries, if we were left in peace from the slave masters, they would still be cramming it out in potato land Britain, and we would have had all the riches, our land, and the native Americans would be roaming their land in peace in its natural organic state.

  64. blaq

    @ Double Standard

I don’t have a problem with the word *****, I feel like we have earned the right to use it how we see fit. If you are offended by it sorry. I also have Aunt Jemima posters in my house and so forth, I don’t try to pretend like our past didn’t happen. The word ***** has been used as a term of endearment in the black community for centuries. Just like two homosexuals will call each other *****got, two women will call each other *****, and I’ve heard mexicans call each other wet back and so on. Many black ppl choose not to use the word, they find it hurtful, I can feel them as well. But education is education, this boy has no idea what slavery was about or the devastation it did to our people and

Africa. So out of all the positive things I said, you want to disregard my statement because I used the word *****. My friend you can’t see the forest for the trees.

Because the Africans I knew were friendly and lovely people who related more to African Americans than they did to Becky

  69. Curt

There is a difference between a Black man and a ***** like Soulja Boy and most of the ignorant, badly raised Rappers. He should have learn about history even before he was in his teens. My sons did. But unfortunately, Rappers are allergic to education. I wish every dumb ***** nigg like Soulja Boy would die tonight, so that tomorrow Black people can start rebuilding our communities and reputations.

  71. blaq

    @ Hollywood and Obama

One is not better than the other. Hollywood your culture is not better than ours, and possibly not that different, and within America all black culture is not the same depending on the region you are from there are definite differences. You both are judging the m*****es by the actions of a few. If you want to know how slavery and colonization came about because of the the fighting among different tribes the Europeans were able to take advantage of warring prisoners of war were sold into slavery and often traded to Europeans for weapons to keep fighting each other, while the white man ran off with the gold, diamonds, took ownership of the land and stole the people. Enough with the bullsh*t. Soulja Boy is a f*cking waste of time and money, and he needs to restart from kindergarten and actually finish high school (G.E.D not acceptable). As a black woman who proudly earned her way into 3 honor societies during my higher (meaning post high school) education, I am embar*****ed that Soulja Boy is black. I teach and my first graders make me more proud spelling compound words than this dumb f*ck ever will.

As for you last$2, I weep. Don’t you see that Soulja Boy and your ideas about Africa and Africans are the reason why African and Carribean blacks don’t want to be African American? It goes deeper than just having their own cultural identity. Uncle Tom Sambo shuckin’ and jivin’ ***** coon.

  95. Akira @ Hollywood BS

“And have you wondered why they won’t hang around with African Americans? food for thought.”

African Americans don’t really have an interest in hanging out with Africans so what are you implying by “food for thought”? Possibly because there are tons negative images about Africa fed to us by the media. I’d say the same for us as it relates to the African media. However, you can’t deny that African American’s are the most visible Africans on earth. Visible because our history, culture, vast accomplishments, etc. All within a relatively short period of time. 300 years. Africa has been colonized for a much longer period. You shouldn’t be mad at that because as someone already said, our gains have helped Africa tremendously. If it wasn’t for the Civil Rights movement and other prolific African American trail brazers, Apartheid would likely still be the norm in South Africa. Discrimination would be the norm throughout Africa. African Americans lobbied hard for the Immigration Act which opened the doors for millions of Africans living in poverty to seek better lives abroad in the United States. I can go on and on. Anyway, it seems like many Africans here are ungrateful. Were it not for our sacrifices that included death, Africa as a whole would be worse off. And, Skin Bleaching is very profitable in Africa. I’ve seen Africans in weaves, nike’s and jeans walking around in Africa so don’t embellish the truth Hollywood. As far as white washing, we are not the ones who wash our skin with bleach.

  96. 1morepleez

I’ve been to Africa quite a few times. Africa is a collection of different nations with different people, so it’s embarr*****ing whenever I see attempting to generalize about the people of a continent just because it’s so overwhelmingly black. I’ve been to neighborhoods in West Africa where EVERYONE lives on a compound, no one lives in a home with less than 5 bedrooms, everyone has a Benz AND a Range, and the kids get Beamers for their 16th birthdays. I’ve also been to the village where the electricity goes out every other day and people have to go fetch their own water. I love both. There is nothing like being in a NATION of black people, where so many people are so proud of the fact that they are free and amongst one another.

I’m NYC born and raised, and that will never change, but judging from some comments that I see on this site, Soulja Boy isn’t the only one who needs to be educated.

We have had a very rough history and alot of people don’t want to admit it, but being bought to America was the best thing that could have happen to black folks, granted it could have been done by another means but that has what has made us stronger as a people, sometimes you have to think outside the box, come out of the black and white and lean toward the grey area.

  105. Akira @ Read Your History

Why do think West Africans sold their people into slavery for trinkets like watches and silverware? I think some African Americans have mixed views of West Africans because on one hand they were once strong and intelligent/genetically we are quite similar, however once they got in bed with the white man they selfishly altered the lives of many, many people and they have paid and are still paying dearly for that mistake. Food for thought!

I love how idiots post and rationalize their way into providing some sort of fake a$$ historical discourse. There were African nations in existence well before the Civil Rights movement even began. There were leaders of the Civil Rights movement who named themselves and their children after Pan African leaders, and vice versa. So how can you cite South Africa as an example, as if the change in South Africa somehow legitimized the freedom on the continent that so many already possessed?

You’re right there with Soulja Boy and you don’t even know it. Throughout the 20th and and even 19th century there was a steady dialogue across the Atlantic. And one side cannot insult the other without insulting itself.

I’m Nigerian too (though london-based) and not wanting to be called African-American doesn’t necessarily mean that Africans look down on y’all, there’s just a need to clarify our identity. For instance, I hate people mis*****ouncing my name as i know it has a meaning and though someone’s name might actually be *****ounced the way mine was mis*****ounced, i still prefer the *****unciation of my one, that ain’t to say i feel more superior in any way. D’you get? All i know is if God asked me what i’d like to keep from my current life into a new one or some’, it’ll be the colour of my skin, cos that pretty much sums up me and everything i’m about. @soulja embryos comment, he clearly speaks out of his ***** a lot. He’s old enough to reason and speak rationally but he made an extremely stupid/narrow-minded comment there. I’m not too surprised though cos his butler friends clearly substitute his parents.

I believe we got up at arms about hollywoods comment because she said she was bugged and bothered by it, because her culture was so different. But really if you are black in america people are going to think you are a black american, why would that bother someone, If I were in her country walking down the street, would she be able to pick me out and say she’s American. And she made no comment of the difference like the were regarding these stupid comments made my Soulja Boy. I have a Muslim surname I am not offended when ppl ask me where I am from, because most black people who are from America do not have Muslim surnames. What’s the big deal, if you are unique you may have to explain yourself more often. But I would be bothered if someone thought I was an idiot, or w*****, or an atheist because that is somethings I find deplorable.

Skin Bleaching Thrives Despite Ugandan Government Ban on Dangerous Cosmetics

    by Halima Abdallah Kisule

    - Uganda -

Scores of Ugandans continue to bleach their skin despite a government ban on the sale of several lotions, creams, gels and soaps which are largely used to whiten, even and tone the skin.

Due to ineffective enforcement of the ban, these dangerous cosmetics are easily accessible anywhere in Uganda; whether sold over the counter, along the roadside or by hawkers, vendors move the skin lighteners easily due to high demand. Such is the popularity that skin-whitening products have gained today in Uganda.

Medically, skin whitening (or bleaching) products are used for treating pigmentation disorders like freckles, pregnancy marks, blotchy uneven skin tone, patches of brown to gray skin and age spots. Skin pigmentation occurs because the body either produces too much or too little melanin, the pigment responsible for creating the color of our eyes, skin and hair. It also provides crucial protection against the sun’s rays by absorbing ultra-violet light. Doctors say that those with darker skin are less susceptible to sunburn and the overall effects of sun damage.

According to dermatologists, skin bleaching can be achieved through a combination of treatments that reduce or block some amount of the body’s melanin production. Usually in the form of topical lotions, gels, pills and creams, these products contain melanin-inhibiting ingredients along with sunscreen. These treatments also contain amounts of hydroquinone, or mercury.

However, other cosmetics companies use natural ingredients to make melanin-inhibiting products. Extracted from plant leaves like the berry family, shrubs and pears, their naturally occurring arbutin leads to bleaching.

In Uganda, the practice of skin bleaching is common among adults with dark skin, especially women, but men also do it with little regard for the dangers posed to their bodies. Some people even use the products for ***** bleaching to reduce naturally darker pigmentation of the genital and perineal area.

Consumers of bleaching cosmetics claim that they want to enhance their beauty. One woman who declined to be named, explains, “One has to look good, by having fair, lighter skin.”

Unfortunately, her skin is now multi-colored from bleaching. She has red skin on her face, yellow on her arms and dark skin on her back. The skin on her knees, toes and finger joints failed to lighten and remain black.

For this woman, the condition of her skin has only brought her shame; she now tries to cover most parts of her body in an attempt to conceal the damage done by the products she thought would enhance her beauty.

Those in the medical profession explain that this condition occurs from allergic dermatitis or irritant dermatitis (abnormal, extensive and often local inflammation of the skin), both of which are common among people who have not previously used the bleaching cosmetics.

“I have cases where people get severe skin burns. It happens when people change to something new which causes allergic dermatitis and irritant dermatitis,” says Dr Misaki Wayengera of Makerere University Medical School.

He explains that the skin of the people using these bleaching products get inflamed, turns red, enlarges and begins to loose function as the cells fail to produce melanin.

Wayengera says that bleaching can be achieved medically using low dosage hydroquinone, recommended at 2%. He advises that it should be used only in the areas of the skin that need to be lightened. He also advised consumers to always read the contents of cosmetics because those that bleach cause health problems like skin cancer, leukemia, thyroid disorders and delay or prevent the ability to diagnose leprosy. Mercury is the most toxic of these ingredients and leads to liver problems.

Though the East African Custom Management Act of 2006 banned the import of all soaps containing mercury, products like Mekako soaps are readily available in the country having been smuggled in before being re-exported to neighboring Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda.

“They are smuggled in jerricans disguised as water while others come in through ordinary containers but are declared as cosmetics, when [in reality] they are drugs that fall under the NDA mandate,” says Gyavira Musoke, Head of Imports Inspection at Uganda’s National Bureau of Standards (UNBS).

UNBS says that Kenya is blaming Uganda for failing to stop the importation of this toxic cosmetic despite the existence of the law. This is just one of the 400 prohibited cosmetic ingredients (that are defined as drugs under the Uganda National Drug Authority (NDA) regulations) that are on the open market. Products containing hydroquinone are still for sale after traders asked the Ministry of Tourism to give them some time to sell off their stock.

Ready markets for these highly valued cosmetics suggest that smuggling won’t stop any time soon, but demand alone does not explain why one would continue to use these dangerous products.

“Such a person lacks self-esteem, has low self-efficacy and a perception that she or he looks ugly,” says Mr Robert Wandera, Coordinator of the Psychology Department at Makerere University. “It is common among women who are not educated,” he adds.

Wandera’s colleague, Mr Calistas, says that it is very dangerous to have low self-esteem because severe cases can lead to suicide.

He urges, “Do something positive to counter [your low self-esteem]. Take advantage of the good parts of your body or talents.”

Prolonged use of bleaching cosmetics can indeed be disastrous both psychologically and physically. One lady who I encountered on the street declined to be named nor talk about her skin. Her dry, pale face showed no happiness. She had wrinkles too – not from old age, but from the effects of starting and then stopping the use of these cosmetics. I could easily read the disappointment in her face when I asked her to talk about her skin. Her response is a clear testimony to the negative effects of bleaching cosmetics and hint at the lengths some will go to for beauty. Her unhappiness is the other side of beauty that we rarely see, but one that can easily be avoided.

Young brotha’s wake up!, your in a second reconstruction era!. Trust me slavery is not FULLY OVER!. Just look around the signs are there.

  175. African Girl

Darkest Nubian u’re not more intelligent than anybody else on here.U would be an idiot if u were not proud to be american people.Y’all american people have to live ur life as american people.U’re different from us african people and that’s a good thing.

U’re talking about poverty and healthy. But don’t u know that white people found african people healthy and rich?IF THOSE MOTHER*****eRS DIDN’T COME THERE,AFRICA WOULDN’T BE THAT POOR!!!! They just came and bring back to their country all gold, silver, diamonds they found out and in addition they bring back african people.

U call America land of the free!Well but didn’t they tell u that there was no slave in Europ but only on land of the free.European people were those u sold, american people those who used black people.

U can disrespect me but don’t disrespect “your” ancestors.

The only thing I could thank the slavemasters for is to give african people the opportunity to show them what PRIDE and STRENGTH are.

  176. ...YUP!!!

    @ hollywood bs

u said obama is not african american hes kenyan american ..isnt that an oxymoron lol last time i checked the country of kenya was in AFRICA and hes an american citizen so it would be fitting to refer to him as AFRICAN AMERICAN lol but aside from that i agreed with alot of your points but i dnt understand why you are so mad with us americans very few of us have the priviledge of knowing our ‘original’ culture and languages and our native countries and spiritual practices and things like that so please stop making your comments so personal … i wish we werent robbed of these things but we were and thats the facts but what we have done we have came here and created new cultures, history, and languages and good or bad im very proud of that and who I am as an african AMERICAN yes i would love to explore africa if im ever financially able to and explore the countries and cultures and connect with the people there but from what i’ve been told africans dont even view us as ‘brothers and sisters’ so there’s a problem all together and as for this little ignorant being soldier boy all i can do is shake my head these littles boy are so STUPID lol omg!!! i cant help but laugh he seriously needs to put down XXL or Source and pick up some serious reading material no matter what it is hell start with the dictionary learn how to speak in front of a camera and not like your on the court with ya boys …he really irritates me this is why i vowed that when i have children there BET intake is gonna be slim to done because i refuse for them to be entertained by idiots like this

  177. tinkerlove

If this fool don’t go back to school somebody beat his azz, this is one ignorant azz black boy, that is right , BOY, this is the only thing I can legally call this idiot, his mother needs to take her dumb azz back to school too, “WTF” have he learned? NOTHING! He is a IDIOT and so is his peers, somebody please lift this fool up and teach him some home training.

  178. Teju

@darkest nubian, see that’s just it you’re only making that backward statement cos you didn’t go through any pains to get to the U.S, if indeed you are black, that was done by your ancestors, not you. Moreover, coming out of Africa does not mean you progressed from poverty cos as well as it being my pride and joy, knowing my heritage, my culture and that i was born on the soils of my motherland, it’s also a sense of wealth to me. Interestingly, the U.S relies more on imports than y’all can imagine, they just use tactics, pathetic intimidation and sometimes bride to get their way. Anyway, enough about politics, cos if i’m to get into that I’d have a thing or two to say about African politicians too and their money-grubbing and corrupt selves, that’s why y’all don’t see the progress or wealth of nations like Nigeria which believe it or not, is blessed with wealth though plagued with bad leaders. However, when African Americans get all caught up in the American pride thing, I find it amusing cos to know where you’re going, one must know where he/she is coming from. Solely claiming a land that the Europeans stole from the Indians just as they stole blacks from Africa isn’t a good look.

  179. Teju

And @Hollywood BS, let’s be real now, 4m your posts so far, correct me if i’m wrong but i’ve gathered you’re a Naija male, who studied in the U.S and cos you seem intellectual enough to listen to facts, it is a FACT that some Africans and even Nigerian women bleach, not to the wacko jacko or them french-speaking African countries extent, but they do, it’s just on the sly. I mean i told my fellow nigerian colleage that i noticed her face was lighter than when i first met her, she’s like 10years older than me but i had to point it out, cos to me it’s silly, and even more when you deny it which she did. Trying to achieve clearer skin is different from trying to lighten you’re whole face/body to tacky whiteness. I don’t know about over in the U.S but here in London, especially in the South-East, if a black hair shop (which are ironically dominantly set up and run by Asian Indians) don’t display at least 90% of the bleach in the market in 90% of it’s shelves, then it ain’t in business. It’s like being synthetic is natural now. Synthetic hair, skin, accent. More people need to get into the 500 years later (a black movie) vibe. Black is indisputably beautiful but being NATURAL is even more so.

  180. African Girl

…YUP I love the way u talk. But let me tell u that that’s not true that african people don’t view you as “brothers and sisters”.For us black is black.

But I’ve always been told that african american don’t like African people…

  181. Teju

@African girl, i agree with much of your statements cos i ain’t anti African-American but y’all should know that Americans and Europeans didn’t just take from Africa the people alone, they dried out it’s natural resources which they still do till date, weather it be gold, rubber, diamond, oil etc. However now they pay for it, though it’s practically as bad as it was in the slavery period cos they pay peanuts for things that are worth gold. Even if the prices of fuel are at a sky-high, it’s nothing in comparison to what it should be considering it’s running out. Also, with Australia, how can whites just shove the natives of such a place to one corner and send their own convicts and prostitutes to it. See crack heads have always been good at that, taking everything for nothing without any consent for those they deprive. Such a mentality can’t disappear into the air just like that, it can only be diluted to go with times and p*****ed on. I ain’t racist, ‘more a realist.

This is true but for those who try so hard to seperate themselves from all things African or ‘too Black’ I say GO ON! Who needs those types of warped mentalities poisoning our children’s mind? Let them poison their own but they will have no part in corrupting anyone involved in my life or anyone who knows the real deal. They are worse than the whites who do it because they are able to infiltrate into the psyches of other Blacks easier because they resemble them (don’t tell them that though).

  196. STEFANY

Don’t blame that ***** on hip hop or the hood, you will find some of the greatest black historian in the hood and in hip hop, this boy is a product of the media and the American education system. When they teach about Africa it’s about apartheid, famine, colonization and slavery, which they teach us was not that bad. Anyone who has a real view of the black experience they got it from their parents for private research.

    *************************************************

    @BLAQ

I didn’t blame ***** on the hood, I said he’s being influenced by the so called “culture” of hip hop/hood which like you stated is heavily influenced by the media but at the same time you can’t blame all that ***** on the media either because we got these ignorant ***** negros who come from the hood representing the the very worst in our hoods and black culture to sell records and make money..By no means am I saying everything about the hood is bad, but you these stupid ***** thug rappers and clowns like Soulja Boy who give the world a negative impression about the hood and black neighborhoods.

Blame my educational system? Are you comparing the educational system in the United States to the educational standard in Africa’s? That is the most ridiculous ‘ish I’ve ever heard LOL. I am quite familiar with the differences as it relates to skin-tone in Africa. However, North Africans, except for Nubians and the Sudanese are NOT native Africans. Modern Egyptians for example are Arabs not native Africans hun. East Africans are lighter than West Africans however they do not have light skin. Light as in a Beyonce’s skintone. Many East Africans are medium-toned like Liya Kebede for example. When I spoke of bleaching, I was speaking of darkskin Africans who desire lighter skin ( because of the Western media’s impact in Africa) and skin-bleaching is very popular amongst those particular Africans.

  206. Akira @Hollywood

The Ashanti and other TRIBES (not only tribal chiefs) were all willing parti*****nts who captured people to sell off as slaves for less than pennies.

“All ancient civilizations enslaved their own people.” That is a blatant LIE.

You’re the one that needs a course in WORLD history. East Africans never sold their own people into slavery. Many civilizations did have servants, or indentured servants and cl***** structured society’s however, African’s are the only people on earth to allow Europeans to rob them blind/destroy their thriving civilizations, and they *****isted the white man in doing so!

  209. Pretty Brown Girl

    He is a damn fool.

  210. Kunta

To all you african haters. It took Obama, a man of direct Kenyan descent to become the 1st BLACK president of the USA. His father was not a slave but a free thinker.Maybe you african-americans should free your minds and stereotypes of africans. After all, you are using AFRICAN-american to describe yourselves to the white man. So show the real africans some respect.

  211. Akira @Hollywood

East Africans never enslaved their own people. In fact,if your able to find a single item of reference material that points to such nonsense I’ll stop posting on Bossip for a week! You’re right about being and idiot and that’s about it.

  212. Oshie - all you *****es want some of this Pumpkin Gravy

I would verify that he really said that before I cast judgment. That sounds made up to me. I hope.

  213. Akira @Hollywood

You are quite challenged with reading comprehension. I didn’t say Obama was African American I said he was BIRACIAL and he is!! He is half white imbecile! His wife is African American and is kids are as well. Only half of his paternal relatives are in Kenya, his other half, THE WHITE HALF IS HERE IN THE UNITED STATES. We know that he has poverty stricken relatives in Kenya, Obama’s visit with them was broadcasted on TV, we saw their little hut. Obama is who he is because of his AMERICAN education and AMERICAN upbringing period.

  214. @ hey hollywood, what is your problem? What are you talking about?

Tu as bu ou quoi? Je crois que tu as unsérieux probleme mec

  215. Akira @Hollywood

Where would Obama be if his white mother sent him off to Kenya to live instead of raising him in the United States????????????????? A place where he was given the chance to live amongst and lean about progressive African Americans. He met one in Law School and married her. I’m thankful that his mom had the common sense to know what was best for her children.

  216. Neek

I have been reading these post, and I can’t believe how off subject we got. This is about an ignorant statement made by an ignorant person (Soulja Boy). Unfortunately many of us will allow his music to infiltrate our homes and cars, and our children. I refuse to allow anything by him or any other idiot regardless of race to be played around me or my children. If you can’t speak grammatically correct English, you do not get a voice in my home. Attacking each other whether African, or African American or Black (as I choose to call myself) doesn’t change the fact that this Soulja character is deficient in his abilities to reason. He is a clown–just look at him. The fool next to him is too. The time for shucking and jiving for a dollar is over. We can either get our butts in school, educate ourselves for lifelong benefit, or be left behind. I just do not give an audience to this foolishness. We need to unite against stupidity, and defend intelligence, because no matter what part of the world we come from, we are all brown, and we all look bad when someone that looks like us acts less than human.

  217. realwoman

    @ Akira:

    Growth of the Slave Trade

Quite possibly, the maintenance of slavery and the social acceptance of slaves were important drawing cards for Islam as it penetrated Africa. Without a knowledge of history, many Africans may be unaware of the fact that Islamic traders carried on a steady slave trade from East African ports for many centuries. Records are available which contain the lists of goods involved in trade with the rest of the world.

Muslim merchants traveled to India, Ceylon, the East Indies, and China, over sea and land, bringing back silks, spices, aromatics, woods, tin, and many other items. Records mention ’slave girls’ from the Byzantine Empire along with gold and silver, marble workers, and eunuchs. Surprisingly, Muslim traders went as far away as Scandinavia, and especially Sweden, where scores of Muslim coins have been found with inscriptions from the seventh and eleventh centuries. On the long lists of goods which Muslim traders imported from Scandinavia, are found ‘Slavonic slaves, sheep, and cattle’ (cited by Lewis in The Arabs in History). An early ninth century geographer, Ibn Kurradadhbeh, describes Jewish merchants from the south of France ‘who speak Arabic, Persian, Greek, Frankish, Spanish, and Slavonic. They travel from west to east and east to west, by land and sea. From the west they bring eunuchs, slave girls and boys, brocade, beaver skins, sable and other furs, and swords’.

YES East Africans also enslaved their own and this is partially why you see East African women who look like Iman with that lighter skin tone. They were enslaved and raped just like West African women in America.

  218. Mamacita

…we would still be in Africa, no?

Nowhere in you’re post does it say anything about East Africans. Obviously you don’t know anything about East Africa. Ethiopians are indigenous Africans. In layman’s terms, that means the majority of them don’t posses any admixture from whites or Arabs. Somali’s are closely, genetically related to Ethiopians, however some Somali’s mixed with Arabs as Somalia is predominately an Islamic nation. But most Somali’s are indigenous also. Ethiopians however are predominately Christian and there is alot of data to support the FACT that Europeans are descendants of East Africans not the other way around:

” Genetic genealogy, although a new tool that uses the genes of modern populations to trace their ethnic and geographic origins has also helped pinpoint the possible background of the modern Somalis. According to one prominent study published in the European Journal of Human Genetics, the Somalis are closely related to certain Ethiopian and Eritrean groups:

The data suggest that the male Somali population is a branch of the East African population − closely related to the Oromos in Ethiopia and North Kenya − with predominant E3b1 cluster lineages that were introduced into the Somali population 4000−5000 years ago, and that the Somali male population has approximately 15% Y chromosomes from Eurasia and approximately 5% from sub-Saharan Africa.[12]

Besides comprising the majority of the Y DNA in Somalis, the E1b1b (formerly E3b) genetic haplogroup also makes up the bulk of the paternal DNA of Ethiopians, Eritreans, Berbers, North African Arabs, as well as many Mediterranean and Balkan Europeans.[13] After haplogroup E1b1b, the second most frequently occurring Y DNA haplogroup among Somalis is the Eurasian haplogroup T (M70),[14] which is found in slightly more than 10% of Somali males. Haplogroup T, like haplogroup E1b1b, is also typically found among populations of Northeast Africa, North Africa, Southwest Asia, and the Mediterranean.

********Overall, the genetic studies conclude that Somalis and their fellow Ethiopian and Eritrean Northeast African groups represent a unique and distinct racial bloc on the continent:*************

The most distinct separation is between African and non-African populations. The northeastern-African — that is, the Ethiopian and Somali — populations are located centrally between sub-Saharan African and non-African populations… The fact that the Ethiopians and Somalis have a subset of the sub-Saharan African haplotype diversity — and that the non-African populations have a subset of the diversity present in

FYI: ***********Ethiopians and Somalis — makes simple-admixture models less likely; rather, these observations support the hypothesis proposed by other nuclear-genetic studies (Tishkoff et al. 1996a, 1998a, 1998b; Kidd et al. 1998) — that populations in northeastern Africa may have diverged from those in the rest of sub-Saharan Africa early in the history of modern African populations and that a subset of this northeastern-African population migrated out of Africa and populated the rest of the globe. These conclusions are supported by recent mtDNA *****ysis (Quintana-Murci et al. 1999).[15″

New beauty trend in Africa causes serious health problems

    Ashley Hardiman

Many women in Africa are using bleaching cream to lighten their skin because they *****ociate lighter skin with beauty.

Peter Deng, a sophomore from Sudan, remembers when bleaching cream first started getting popular.

“A lot of my friends tried using the cream,” said Deng. “It made their faces and necks look pale, but the rest of their body was their natural skin color. They thought it made them look beautiful.”

Skin bleaching, while it is very popular, contains toxic chemicals that are linked to weakened immune systems, organ failure, and even death.

Yaba A. Blay, a doctoral candidate in Temple University’s African American studies department, conducted a study last summer, in which she surveyed approximately 600 residents of Accra, and interviewed another 40 who reported bleaching their skin.

“Despite attempts by the Ghanaian government to ban bleaching products and the extreme health risks, including skin cancer, brain and kidney damage and sometimes death, the practice of skin bleaching is seemingly on the rise,” Blay, a native of Ghana, said to Diverse magazine. “It appears that in the context of global white supremacy, skin bleaching represents an attempt to gain access to the social status and mobility often reserved not only for whites, but for lighter-skinned persons of African descent.”

Eleanor Branch, *****istant professor of English and African American studies, remembers seeing light-skinned individuals on the majority of ads in Ghana, where most people are very dark-skinned.

“I feel that skin bleaching is saying that there is something wrong with black skin,” said Branch, “but it shows how much influence the Western world holds.”

Deng remembers his mother warning his sisters not to use the bleaching cream.

“Luckily my sisters never tried it,” said Deng, “but one of my cousins did. I remember it was a really big deal. The people in my family were very angry and upset about it.”

The trend of skin bleaching in Africa may seem very similar to the trend of tanning in the United States. Young women here are tanning their skin because they think tanned skin is more beutiful.

“I go tanning because I like looking tan,” said sophomore Taylor Brown. “I feel like I don’t look as good when I’m not tan. Some people look better tanned, some don’t. It depends on the person.”

As with skin bleaching, there are many risks involved with tanning.

Evidence links UVA, the type of rays emitted from indoor tanning, exposure to malignant melanoma, the most deadly form of skin cancer.

Overexposure to any UV rays can cause loss of skin elasticity, premature aging, and cancer, but these are harmful effects of tanning booths that do not show up for several years after the damage to the skin is irreversible.

Despite all the risks, women continue to try to make themselves more beautiful by skin bleaching in Africa and tanning in the United States.

In addition to the risks involved, Deng believes skin bleaching is disrespectful.

“I am proud of my heritage and where I came from,” said Deng. “It makes me angry to think that so many people would want to hide that.”

I am so sick of BOSSIP calling people coons, monkeys, black sambo and other racial degrading terms.

If this was a white website black people would protest. But since it is BOSSIP its okay to call black people racial epithets when they do or say something foolish.

I AM SHOCKED AT THE IGNORANCE OF BOSSIP WRITERS and the bloggers for ignoring it and posting like it is okay to be called a COON.

I said “Is Uganda Africa?”, I didn’t say “Is Uganda IN Africa?”. By saying “Is Uganda Africa?” I am IMPLYING that whatever happens in Uganda is not a reflection of the African continent.

But I don’t expect ghetto trash like you to comprehend sentences. I could barely understand a word of what you were trying to say: illiterate rant. When the U.S economy gets into a recession, African Americans like yourself will suffer the most. You will face difficulties competing in the international market: you are black first and foremost, you lack any decent education and you speak only one language ( English) and you barely even speak the English properly. It’s a damn shame!!

  232. blackgirl

What this doof said was not funny. What some fail to realize, especially in education, ignormuses like him are ONLY able to say old stupid stuff and joke and clown. They go completely silent when you ask them what 2 + 2 is so this behavior isnt funny. My teacher relatives deal with this type of ignorance daily with multiple black kids who are ONLY able to act stupid..and literally cant read or write…literally. Does this fool know how many black folks, our ancestors, for a decades had to endure unimaginable oppression. Many many many many, many meaning millions of black people have been lynched, raped, castrated, mutilated, killed for fun, whipped, families broken up and sold off….so he can freely stand up there talking like that….but I have decided….coons will do and say anything including standing on the corner and parting their butt cheeks as far in opposite directions for a dollar…translation(he will do and say anything for a dollar) What a bafoon he is!

  233. Skin Deep

Skin bleaching is popular across West Africa not just in Uganda.

Let me find out that the people on the blogs are getting more and more intelligent. I applaud your post, too much on point….It is VERY encouraging…

  236. Majo Japu

I read all the comments here, Most of you have problems,or i will say there are just like souja *****. some are saying they are from africa, but they dont even know whats going on in africa, Here is a little research for you. Look for the name Boers.

  237. Canadian Diva

I must agree with Hollywood BS on all points. I am half Jamaican and half African (Ghana) and was brought up in Canada. I love ALL my people no matter where they are living, and the truth must be told. Americans in general – regardless of colour – tend to know only of what goes on in their own backyard. There is a rich black life outside of the states but you are not exposed to it. I am sick of Canadian whites (and others) treating me in a negative way due to the crap they saw on American news, quoting American statistics et al. Please. Don’t get me wrong, we have issues in our community i.e. gangs, drugs, lack of representation, medical discrimination, economics, etc. but it’s not the same thing so our Canadian leaders need to stop lumping us together. We don’t have the same culture AT ALL.

A gov’t study in my province (state) concluded that a black university grad has the same chances of finding a job as a white high school dropout. Another demonstrated that the average black here in Canada has 4 more years education than the average white. Now put the 2 together and what do you have? We have NO affirmative action here and trust me, this makes life f***ed up! I refuse to let these klansmen determine whether I can feed my daughter today, so I run my own business.

As for dat likkle bloodclaat punk ***** soulja bwoy, being 17 is no excuse for being an ignoramus. Check the grade school children from Ron Clark Academy on Youtube doing an electoral parody called “You can vote however you like”. I don’t agree with putting kids in the middle of this stuff, but they understand the process and are not going to iterate the disgusting lack of forethought that that little idiot came with. Didn’t he say Ice T was the FOREFATHER of his nuts?? I guess that was a good thing.

    Nuff said and respect due.

  238. DARKEST NUBIAN

    @AFRICAN GIRL.

WHATEVER, HONEY. US BEING BOUGHT FROM OUR **AFRICAN SLAVE MASTERS** WAS AN OBVIOUS INDICATION THAT WE WERE IN GOOD SHAPE. A SLAVE IS A SLAVE NO MATTER WHO YOUR MASTER IS. AGAIN I AM NOT ONLY PROUD BUT ***BLESSED***TO BE AMERICAN. AT LEAST I HAVE A CHOICE. IF IM AMBITIOUS THE SKY IS THE LIMIT, IF IM LAZY I’LL GET WHAT I DESERVE. UNFORTUNATELY IN 3RD WORLD COUNTRIES THOSE SAME OPTIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.I WILL NOT DISRESPECT YOU , I RESPECT YOUR OPINION. MY ANCESTORS DID PAY THE PRICE, I RESPECT IT AND MY LIFETIME COMMITTMENT TO FINISHING WHAT THEY STARTED.BUILD MY OWN EMPIRE OF WORLD CHANGING GOOD CITIZENS, BUILD MY OWN WEALTH AND RICHES, GIVE TO THE LESS FORTUANTE AND DEDICATE MYSELF TO LIFE AND NOT JUST MY LIFE AND NOT JUST MYSELF. SOULJA BOY IS VERY SWIFT, YOU PEOPLE NEED TO CATCH UP. HE DIDNT ELABORATE BECAUSE HE DIDNT HAVE TO. LET THE BS GO. RACISM STILL EXSISTS BUT SLAVERY IS OVER. AND FOR YOU ALL WHO THINK THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM AND EMPLOMENT IS MODERN DAY SLAVERY. YALL NEED TO ADVANCE.

  239. DARKEST NUBIAN

@TEJU AND AFRICAN GIRL AND EVERYONE THAT IS “AFRICAN” BUT UNINFORMED.

EUROPEANS DID ONLY WHAT THE AFRICAN LEADERS ALLOWED. THE NATURAL RESOURCES AND ANCESTORS OF BLACK AMERICANS WERE **BOUGHT** FROM AFRICAN LEADERS. AND THOSE MINING COMPANIES AND OTHER COMPANIES ARE STILL REEPING THOSE BENEFITS OF THE INEXPENSIVE RESOURCES SOLD TO THEM TO DAY. I BELIEVE THAT IT WAS WRONG TO TAKE ADVANTAGE THE WAY THEY DID. BUT OBVIOUSLY THOSE AFRICAN KINGS WERE GREEDY THEY WORKED OUT BAD DEALS. AND KNOW THE COUNTRY IS PAYING FOR IT. SIMILAR TO AMERICANS. BUT OBVIOUSLY WE( THE PEOPLE SOLD INTO SLAVERY) COULDNT HAVE BEEN BENEFITTING FROM THE RESOURCES TOO MUCH BECAUSE WE WERE SLAVES.

  240. DARKEST NUBIAN

@ TEJU, AND ALL AFRICAN AMERICANS

IT SEEMS LIKE MORE AND MORE PEOPLE ARE DISLIKING THE FACT THAT BLACK AMERICANS ARE PROUD TO BE AMERICAN. I UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERNS, AND I AGREE THAT MOVING FROM AFRICA DID NOT IMMEDIATELY TAKE US FROM POVERTY, BUT WHEN YOU LOOK AT POVERTY HERE VS THERE IT’S DIFFERENT WHICH OUR POVERTY IS, MEDICAID HEALTH CARE, PUBLIC HOUSING, FOODSTAMPS AND MORE, 3RD WORLD IS, *****ED OUT, UNFORTUNATELY. I AGREE WITH **BOBARABA** WE ARE ALL BLACK AND AS LONG AS WE ARE WE SHOULD STICK TOGETHER BECAUSE WE ALL GO THROUGH RACIST BS. BUT LORD KNOWS THAT ONLY IN AMERICA CAN YOU GET SOMETHING FOR NOTHING. (SOULJA BOYS CONTRIBUTION TO THE RAP GAME, LAZY WELL FRE RECIPIENTS) OR NOTHING TO SOMETHING ( OPRAH WENFRY) WE ARE BLESSED,

    TO ALL AFRICAN AMERICANS

LETS START APPRECIATING THE LITTLE THINGS OF OUR GREAT COUNTRY BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. BECAUSE OUR POOR IS NOT LIKE 3RD WORLD POOR, BUT IT CAN GET COULD GET UGLY!!!

  241. DARKEST NUBIAN

@AKIRA THANK YOU GIRL, BREAK IT DOWN.

I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST AFRICANS I LOVE ALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS.

BUT TELL ME WHY DO I NEED TO KNOW AFRICAN HISTOR OTHER THAT FOR MY OWN INTEREST?

    WHERE WILL IT TAKE ME?

NO WERE, BECAUSE I LIVE IN AMERICA, WERE AFRICAN THE LAWS ARE EUROPEAN!

  244. African Girl

    @ Darkest Nubian

I do know my history and let me tell you what I’ve been taught. When they came in africa, white people who regarded black people as animal, decided to make “razzia” which means that they caught them like animals and brought them back on there countries because they had weapons, they were powerful.Black people tried to resist but their resistance was insufficient.some covetous african kings decided to draw benefit from this situation. They decided to sell to white people their own people and white people accepted to give them shoddy goods back.I am not making up excuses for that kings because their behaviour is unacceptable.Even if u are weak,u have to try to resist til death. This is just to show u that with our without african king’s agreement, they would have taken african people.

Let me remind u that one century after the end of slavery, white people came back in Afica to colonize its countries.

And i see u asking to Akira what to learn african history for.You know this is not because you’re black that you are obliged to know africa’s history. But don’t be narrow-minded.Forget that u’re black and learn it for general culture.

I was born and grown up in Senegal ,in Africa but I learned french, english, spanish.I learned african history, french history, american history, japanese history… I am not saying that to show off but I just wanna let u know that to understand other communities and civilizations u have to know their history and their way of life.

U see in the whole world, people are regarding Usa as a rich country but where people are not very intelligent becuz too many american people wouldn’t be able to locate Europ, for example,on a map.

Life don’t start and end on America.Open ur minds guys.

  245. African Girl

    p.s:sorry for my english.I am a French-speaking person

  246. Teju

@Darkest Nubian, I am well informed thank you very much. Still, I’m an independent thinker, I don’t take everything I hear as the truth, even if it is do*****ented cos it doesn’t take a computer to manipulate information, history could have been re-written literally and one wouldn’t know. Also, I ain’t saying you shouldn’t be proud of being American but y’all really sugar coat how America came to be as we know it today, it’s just the red Indians aren’t as vocal as blacks or else they would have a month of their own too, though their eviction wasn’t as bad as slavery was. Lastly, Whites might have worked out bad deals with African leaders, but where one is given an inch and takes a mile, that can’t be justified, if indeed the African leaders did consent to it (which i question cos i know how heavy the guilt must be that they can fabricate bits of history to favour themselves) they abused it and that is that. Raping, murdering and using the babies of slaves as crocodile food etc couldn’t have possibly been part of the so called “deal”, they got power drunk and made it that way.

All the same, we are all black people and proud to be so i *****ume. Claiming being African Americans ain’t an issue, solely claiming to be American along with the White man who forcefully stole the very land you claim and feeds you white lies on how you got there, that’s what I said I find amusing.

  247. Teju

or rather than amusing, more worrying.

  248. DARKEST NUBIAN

    @ AFRICAN GIRL AND TEJU,

THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS, AFRICAN GIRL I’LL GRADUATE WITH A MASTERS IN POLI-SCI IN DECEMBER OF O9, I AM A HISTORY FANATIC THAT IS WHY I ASKED, WHY SHOULD I STUDY AFRICAN HISTORY IF I HAVE NO INTEREST. EUROPEAN HISTORY IS MOST INTERESTING TO ME, AND NOT BECAUSE I LOVE WHITES, ONLY BECAUSE IT’S INTERESTING.

TEJU OBVIOUSLYT YOUR NOT INFORMED ON AMERICAN HISTORY, IF YOU WERE YOU WOULD KNOW THAT THE INDIANS HAD IT WORST THAN BLACK SLAVES.

LOVE YOU GUYS, JUST RECOGNIZE THE WEALTH AND OPPORTUNITIES HERE AND DONT TAKE THEM FOR GRANTED.

  249. Teju

The Indians had it worst than slaves you say, well…you said it, I didn’t. Atleast they still reside where they originated, atleast they weren’t sold on an industrial scale as kept people. I’m just saying my mind, but i respect your views too, so it’s kool.
