The recession is no joke!

Chris McAlister, former Baltimore Raven, signed a $55 million contract in 2004, but according to him, that money has run out. McAlister claims that he’s now unable to support himself and he lives with his parents. McAlister was cut in 2009, so he didn’t make all of the money, but he did get $20 million from 2007-2009.

But, there are two sides to the story. All of this comes from legal documents put together in a child support case. McAlister’s ex-wife, Marlene, is trying to get more child support from the former Raven, so all of this could be a big scam by Chris to sneak out of his payments. But who knows.

This is his official statement:

“I have been unemployed since 2009. I have no income.” He adds, “I live in my parent’s home. My parents provide me with my basic living expenses as I do not have the funds to do so.”

Hmmm…sounds sketchy to us.
