Often Hollywood cannot leave well enough alone. If a film makes decent bank at the box office, plans for a sequel or prequel soon follow. Most of the time, it’s not a good look. If the original film was great, the second edition rarely measures up. There are notable exceptions to this rule. The Toy Story franchise never seems to disappoint. Another Batman movie? Yes, please. Conversely, if a blockbuster was a stinker, best believe they will torture us with another. I mean, did we really need 5 Final Destination movies? The Bridget Jones Diary was fun the first time.
