Can’t look at him. Everytime I do, my eyes start watering, and I want to beat that entire family (except Jennifer) for keeping that precious little angel in harm’s way.

Nobody had to kill Julian. There really are monsters in the universe.

I know with Jennifer’s strong faith in God, He will get her through this horrible tragedy. I’m with WeStKoaSt and Nita – how could someone shot and kill this precious, innocent child. For that alone, I believe the death penalty should be handed down.

As someone who lost family members to senseless violence the pain never goes away. Whether it’s 20 years ago [my aunt and cousin] or two [my nephew] you continue to feel that loss. Jennifer and her remaining family are in my thoughts and prayers. This time will be painful but I hope and pray that they know those who were taken away are now in God’s loving arms.

The person or persons who committed this crime will be brought to justise. Whether in the flesh or after judgement will be given. I understand others wanting to lend their support but if Jennifer and her sister requests space I too hope people give that to them as well. The greatest help ever given to me was space in which I was able to deal with my sorrow and tears in private.

I’ve heard of entertainers having their services made public but I’ve NEVER heard of a family member of an entertainer unless they were an entertainer them self.

Now when you’re a ghetto superstar, well that changes things or could it even be the enormalty of this tragedy??

There is no right way to do this, they were well known in the ‘hood, she a superstar. This is a compromise.

Senseless violence is so shattering to the family, community and everyone involved.

As I said in the other post though, you can’t do bad and good at the same time. You can’t sling drugs and send your kids to private school, college, vocal/acting training and think all will be well. Drugs have an energy none of us want to tap into.

Also, we need not judge, but as a people we need to make judgment calls. If someone is dealin’- they are not cool or down. You put major space between yourself and that drug mess.

Your prayers go out to the family? Where was god when a monster put a gun up their heads? Where where his blessings – NO ONE deserved that? Where was god?

Prayer is always good Kay — there are things beyond our understanding. God’s got it as hard as it is to believe. As it commands us to do in the Bible: Trust Him, when that is the hardest thing to do.

Again, if the Hudson family was slinging drugs, and those drugs destroyed families, lives, communities, etc., then the energy from the drug business dealt its own cruel sad justice. As the facts come out more, I cannot blame God.

@ Kay – it sounds like you do not believe in God, so you can look at another way. Everything that occurs in this world happens according to a Universal plan…it may or may not be God’s plan, but everything happens for a reason. This plan I speak of can and does include death as well as life.

Kay, it’s always easy to blame God or decide not to believe in God when tragedy strikes, but you must remember that when one lives by the sword, one usually dies by the sword. Unfortunately, Julia’s son was the sacrifical lamb because of his mother’s lifestyle.

God had nothing to do with Julia’s poor choice in a husband. In fact, I’m sure she seen but decided to ignore the obvious signs that God sent her way to NOT get involved with this man.

Every choice one makes has consequences, be it a good choice or a bad choice. But there is some good that can come out of this. Just think of how many people that may have decided to turn away from drugs, violence, gangs, etc., because of this unfortunate but very cautionary tale?

An ex-convict who thought he was being robbed gunned down a 12-year-old trick-or-treater, spraying nearly 30 rounds with an assault rifle from inside his home after hearing a knock on the door, police said Saturday.

Quentin Patrick, 22, is accused of killing 12-year-old T.J. Darrisaw on Friday night. T.J.’s 9-year-old brother, Ahmadre Darrisaw, and their father, Freddie Grinnell, were injured but were released after being treated at a hospital.

The family attended a Halloween celebration in downtown Sumter, 45 miles east of Columbia, then stopped at Patrick’s house because the porch light was on, police said. Another sibling was with them but wasn’t hurt.

Patrick emptied his AK-47, shooting at least 29 times through his front door, walls and windows after hearing the knock, Police Chief Patty PattersPatrick has been charged with murder, three counts of assault and battery with intent to kill, and one count of assault with intent to kill.

Police said they also charged a 19-year-old in his home, Ericka Patrice Pee, with obstruction of justice when she was caught trying to run away after the shooting with $7,500 in cash. Patterson did not give an explanation for the money.

Pee’s 2-year-old daughter was inside during the shooting and is now being cared for by family members.

Patterson said Patrick had multiple drug convictions but police do not believe he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the shooting. Authorities did not know if Patrick or Pee had attorneys. Both are being held without bond

on said.
