Charles Barkley is looking to run for office in the near future according to a report by Livesteez:

Our sources tell us, that former NBA star Charles Barkley is considering a run for governor. The TNT sports analyst was pretty clear about his intentions and plans if elected as Alabama’s chief of state, in a recent interview. “I plan on it in 2014. … I can’t screw up Alabama.” he said. “We are number 48 in everything, and Arkansas and Mississippi aren’t going anywhere,” he tells BET.com, adding that with him at the helm of the state, “there would be no place to go but up.” He noted that his top priority would be education. “All the way education … the public school system in this country is the worst it has ever been and what that does is [that hurts] crime, it hurts the judicial system,” Barkley said. The Alabama native goes on to say: “You know if you don’t give people education and hope, they become criminals. They get involved in drugs. So we have got to fix the public school system. I think we need to make these neighborhoods safer. And the third thing, you have got to give people economic opportunity. America for far too long has a small group of people who have got all the money and then we got a bunch of poor people who have no money. And because we have killed the public school system they can’t get the education to make money, and that is just not right.”

When it comes to racial issues and progression, Alabama has traditionally been one of the slower states to arrive at the party. Well, they had better tidy up because it sounds like the party’s coming to them! GO CHUCK.

Charles Barkley has been an active Republican most of his adult life. He still holds, and pushes, a variety of right sided views. Before our community charges foward in endorsing a politician based on the color of his skin, lets see where he stands on the issues that affect us the most.

California elected “The Terminator”who was not even born in this country to the governship of that state. To think that it’s impossible for Charles Barkley to pull off a run for office is too really sell the man short. Barkley is funny, charasmatic and damned intelligent when it comes to political issues. He has the 3 things every politician needs to get elected. 1. NAME RECOGNITION 2.POWERFUL FRIENDS 3. THE ABILITY TO RAISE MONEY! Sleep on his political future if you want, but to do so would be at your own risk. Go GET EM CHUCK!

I think he would actually make a good politician. He has a low ceiling due to his lack of advanced education though. He spent much of his life as an athelete, but if he was more of an intellect he would be very effective.

  • about it

If they didn’t vote for Steel in VA and Lynn Swan in PA, I really don’t think they will go for Charles Barkley in Alabama. He hates Blacks more than whites do.

    Hope you win Charles!
