Oprah: Barack’s Win is a Victory For All of America

Posted By Bossip Staff

Oprah visited Ed Lover’s Morning Show on Power 105.1 today to discuss the risk she took in endorsing Obama.

“If I had not come out for Barack Obama when I did, I would have lost a piece of my soul.”

She also addressed the ridiculous hate calls her staff received after denying Sarah Palin a spot on her show. “They had never been called so many N-words so many times. It was bad. Like, go back to Africa kind of bad. We’re going to lynch you bad”

Check out the rest of the interview here.

  5. Pynk

    I don’t blame you Oprah… !

  6. licious32

i think oprah was unfortunately reminded in this election that many white people still look @ her as a n166er instead of a successful black woman. im glad she stood her ground w/obama and didnt put sara “ditzy kkk member” palin on her show. i hope the same people that made all of those hate phone calls eat their words tonite.

  7. Hannibal (MCCAIN WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT)

    @PYNK

    WHY DONT U BLAME HER?

  8. I am happy Oprah told everyone who she is supporting. Forget about all the negativity. *****ody should be ashamed or judged for who they support.

  9. TheMan

I’m happy Oprah stood up for Barack, but she done *****ed off her white fans, But judging from this interview Oprah like f*ck it, i’m worth 3 billion and i love that *****.

  10. Davina

At least she gave her support at the beginning not when it was like bossip says “safe and cool”

  11. blaq

There is a lot to be said for black unity & standing up for what you believe in. Oprah’s support in the beginning had a lot to do with his victory over Hillary. I actually wish she would have had Palin on the show, she would have ripped her a new one, thank goodness for Katie Couric the only reporter who took the gloves off with Palin, her position on the issue is weak her knowledge is weak and so are her supporters (hannibal)they wish to return this country to a time when the rich got richer, the poor got poorer, women didn’t have the right to choose, America bullied the rest of the world and the country was so taken by a pretty white girl the establishment was able to pull the wool over our eyes and empty our pockets

  12. Bubothehater

Plese Oprah is not known for toough interviews. She is touchy feely.

I can’t beleive that Oprah actually acknowledges rap/hip hop

  13. Hannibal (MCCAIN WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT)

    SHAME ON OPRAH…

    ______________________________________________________

Dude, I hate to break this to you, but how do you think that George Bush got elected? A lot of women watched the show where George Bush ran up kissed and hugged Oprah when he was campaigning. Al Gore didn’t. Bush seemed friendly and open, whereas Al Gore, while smart as a whip, was extremely reserved and merely shook Oprah’s hand. Who do you think millions of women who watch her every day are gonna vote for?

  14. HOLLYWOOD BS

Mccain just won Kentucky…this might be the biggest upset in U.S history. Do not undermine the Republicans!!

  15. crest

i love you oprah and thank you for backing obama. those racists who called arent real fans anyway so they can start watching maury povich or whatever show you are up against.

  16. Vito

    Thank God.

  17. xpressyurself

Hannibal i do not expect to hear from u anymore.

  18. I’m glad Oprah endorsed Obama from day one and she didn’t back down from her stance. However, as for people calling her show and using the “N” word… well, at the end of the day you know how it goes.
