According to Jay-Z’s BFF Chris Martin:

Coldplay’s Chris Martin has hailed Rihanna as the “best singer in the world,” and says that he does not want to collaborate with anyone else ever again. The singer was ecstatic when the ‘We Found Love’ singer agreed to feature on their new album ‘Mylo Xyloto’ and Chris explains what it was like to work with her. “Rihanna was pretty ugly and grumpy but we got past that,” he joked at the Q Awards earlier this week.

Unfortunately, Chris was not joking when he went on to say that RiRi was the greatest singer in the world – above the likes of Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. “She’s the best singer in the world and we thought what our album needed was the best singer in the world.”

“We asked her very nervously and she said yes, which we were very grateful for.”

Hmmmm…this is coming from the same guy who said his wife was his beard and that Jay-Z was “sweet.”
