If you’re a fan of HBO’s original programming, you already know that Kid Cudi likes to think he’s an actor and is actually tolerable in “How To Make It In America.”
So, hyped up by the dozens of “Domingo” groupies who have probably entered his life, Crudi decided to make a movie. An artsy movie. With all original music. Where he doesn’t really say much, and what little he says is in no way, shape, or form intelligible. Sounds like something someone else did around this time last year, doesn’t it?
There is one major difference between “Runaway” and “Maniac” though: while Kanye just chose to be criptic with the language, Cudi decided that he and his fellow American co-star Cage needed to speak entirely in French during the whole movie, which was shot in New York. Problem is, you don’t even have to speak French to know how HORRIBLE these two are at it.
In any case, here you go: Kid Cudi’s “Maniac,” directed by Shia LaBoef. By the way: if you don’t like violent and bloody things (or you’re under 18) you shouldn’t watch this.
