Bey Volunteers to Perform at the Inauguration

Bey’s no do-do and recognizes the historical victory that we’ve won and offers to do whatever it takes to further it:
If Barack Obama needs a singer for Inauguration Day in January, he can count on Beyonce Knowles. “I’m there. I can’t wait,” she told the Associated Press. “I feel like all of us, we’re ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want — if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I’m there, and I’m ready.” She said that she was supposed to be in Japan on election night, promoting her new album, I Am … Sasha Fierce. At the last minute, she opted to stay home. “I said, ‘What am I doing? I’m completely making a bad decision. I have to go home. I’m gonna kill myself if I’m not home in America,”‘ said the singer. “I knew I needed to be here.” After he won, she said she “fell asleep crying and smiling at the same time. I woke up with mascara running and a smile on my face!”
We wonder what kind of performance she would put on for this momentous occasion. Stans, any suggestions?

Beyonce is the epitome of the over sexualized, and commercialized youth, which is something that Obama and his wife seem that they don’t stand for.
Look at how young she got started in the music business, they marketed her as being very mature for her age. The music industry has done this for years, even with Micheal Jackson. It’s wrong. They’ve been sending the wrong message to youth, Beyonce is part of that sort of corrupt marketing to youth (people under age 18). Jennifer Hudson is NOT, which is why she would be the more appropriate choice.
Just because Beyonce won a lot off awards, doesn’t mean that she qualifies for ANY job, especially not this one – IMO.
He honors come from being popular, being pretty and selling records, but she hasn’t done anything that’s really monumental. Furthermore, she steals music. We know there is bad ethics in the music industry, but she’s very obvious with hers. I thought this new administration was about having better ethics and being more accountable.

I think Aretha Franklin should do it because she represents the MLK era, and she has enough songs to make a connection between MLK and Obama. If not Aretha then Mary J or Alicia Keyes. Jennifer Hudson is probably who he will heavily consider, but she might not be ready.
