Either former first-round draft pick Corey Maggette has been stacking his dough over the course of his less than brilliant career, or he’s just another fool, quickly parted with his gold.
Right when all the talk of a lockout was heating up, Magette, who just signed a deal with the Charlotte Bobcats, copped this Cali crib. For $3 Million.
Maggette’s new home is on a 13,000 square foot lot in the guard-gated Pelican Heights area and has canyon views. Other features include hardwood and limestone flooring, a gourmet kitchen, Venetian plaster walls, beamed and sea grass ceilings and more. There is a formal dining room and an office as well as a large master suite with a sitting area. The French doors open to a patio, yard and a pavilion with built-in barbecue and outdoor fireplace.
Good investment? Or dummy move, considering he was facing at least temporary unemployment? Flip through and see why he thought it was worth it.
