Very fitting, Lords knows her “walk” is famous than a muhfugga!
Colombian pop singer Shakira’s legacy will live on indefinitely in Hollywood when she is honored with a star on its Walk of Fame later this month.
The “Rabiosa” singer is scheduled to have her name cemented in the legendary walkway on Nov. 8, just hours before receiving the “Person of the Year” accolade for her philanthropic contributions as part of the 2011 Latin Grammys ceremony in Las Vegas the following day.
She joins fellow Latinas Christina Aguilera and Penelope Cruz, who also have stars on the Walk of Fame.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce posted the news on its website Tuesday, adding a detailed biography of Shakira, which includes background information on her non-profit organization “Pies Dezcalsos” and her latest accomplishment, being chosen by President Barack Obama as his Latin American education ambassador.
It also pointed out that Shakira is “the highest-selling Colombian artist of all time.”
The ceremony is set to take place across the street from the W Hollywood Hotel on the popular corner of Hollywood and Vine.
Big things goin’ on for this lil latina banger. Play on playa, we ain’t mad.
