Kanye West’s Genius Talk

Kanye recently discusses the term genius and other things with USA Weekend magazine:
“Genius is when a new idea causes an overwhelming response. Anybody can have isolated strokes of genius, but if someone keeps having them, it’s fair to say that the person actually is a genius. Usually, people who are considered geniuses are going against what’s pop. I think I have my finger on the pulse of what’s good. But I’m more on the cutting edge.”
Is it safe to say that Kanye considers himself a genius? With his arroganance and cockiness, probably so. “The Genius” (and I’m not talking about Gza) had a listening party for his album Graduation last night at New World Stages in NYC. We hear that this album is sick and 1 cent needs to cease all his rants and shit talking because he just lost one. The fake thug gimmicks are not working in 07′.
