Did Bey Steal Yet Another Song???

Seems like Bey stole sh*t left and right for this new album. It’s being reported that she stole that song, “Halo” from Leona Lewis:
Simon Cowell was left reeling today after Beyonce recorded a song that was originally intended for Leona Lewis. The track called ‘Halo’ was written for Leona by Ryan Tedder, lead singer for soft-pop act One Republic, who also wrote Leona’s transatlantic smash ‘Bleeding Love’. Cowell was said to be shocked by the news that Beyonce had recorded the track as he had previously agreed with Tedder that the song would be recorded by Leona. An insider at SongBMG, Leona’s record label, said: “Leona’s diary is so rammed it didn’t look like she could record it until next year. Ryan didn’t want to hang around so he gave it to Beyonce”.
We guess in recording 70 songs in preparation for this album, she forgot to write them herself.

there is nothing wrong with artist getting songs from writers. Actually, its the case for almost every body! But why did i hear beyonce saying that she wrote this album and that she wanted it to be personal and stuff when there is at least 2 songs that we know for sure that were not written by her! And for the record, I can name at least a dozen songs that I feel were written just for me because of how close it hits to home. Just because you didn’t write something doesn’t mean you can’t feel it so I can’t believe that she recorded songs that she didn’t write but spoke directly to what she was going through or had experienced. Whoever wrote that must have never read anything by Maya Angelou or Nikki Giovanni.

I think that’s where the real stealing part comes in. When you steal credit for something that is not yours. You can’t pay for an already written and produced song and say you wrote it. how many song on the album did she write? Beyonce is one of the few singer song writers. Mariah writes most but not all of her song, Erykah Badu, writes, Jill Scott writes, and so does Ashanti, they are few and far between. I think having the talent to write and sing is wonderful, way shouldn’t she promote the fact she writes songs. Whoever wrote the song is credited on the album jacket, so I don’t really understand this Beyonce being some sort of recording gangster slapping *****es for songs and stealing rights and jacking OG Fossy for video stylings. that ***** is fuuuuunny!!!

Beyonce can carry a tune, but come on, in another time she would be a backup singer to Angie Stone (what a creamy, warm voice that one’s got). Are we really surprised when we hear these stories about any of the Knowles clan? My ex is in the music biz and if you input 2 words in a song you can technically receive “writing” credit for it. People want to make it seem like she is this brilliant writer but on the DC albums all the other members wrote as well but it wasn’t publicized to make her look like a standout not to mention her lyrics are very juvenile and lack substance for someone of her age late twenties. Oh yeah and remember when she said she “wrote” Irreplaceable? So why does NeYo get all the publishing then? Maybe because he wrote it liar! Bottom line the new album sucks no matter who wrote the lyrics. If this is the best material out of 70 songs then she needs to give it up and run her brand.
