the ones i know that are, are upset over the platform issues, and change of power in the House and Senate because of their beliefs on abortion rights, immigration, and the war… they are not bitter over race. not one bit. it’s their platform beliefs, and where they believe a liberal (fear of socialism) direction will take us as a country.
the ones that are bitter about race. well, they keep that to themselves, especially around me. cause i do not accept that bull***** for a second, and someday…someday… it won’t be tolerated at all. This is why i am so exicted about Obama’s message, and what he stands for.

Well here in Ohio ppl are acting a bit weird. Esp at work it’s like there’s a big pink elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about so they don’t offend anyone. I was very proud and excited but I got so sick of black folks saying this ” We bout to paint the White house black and if you don’t like it move to Canada.” Ppl need to realize we are about 13% of the population and yes 96% of us who voted supported Obama. But it took a whole lot of other ppl of different races to make this happen.

I live in DC,most of the people I run into are nicer. But I did come across a bitter arshhole trying to talk in fake code, about them getting thererselves together as if thats going to hurt us. Who knew we had our stuff as tight as it seems to be?..Eventhough we got a lot of work to do.
The morning after, one of the attorneys at my job practically sang “good morning” when normally she says nothing and looks down at the carpet rather than look us in the eye when she p*****es us in the hall. It’s just funny.

No, a lot, especially here in Mississippi are angry as hell. They really think Obama is getting ready to take something from them and give it to some ‘un-deserving’ minority. Many whites still buy into the notion of Black people being lazy thieves who just want to ride the system or rob them of their riches. Every chance I get I let them know that Black people work very hard – in some cases more than one job and I don’t personally know any Black people on welfare. I think that we, Black people, have a tendency to make things look easy, we don’t stress out as easy as whites do, so therefore that ‘cool’ that we project gets interpreted as not caring, when in actuality we do work harder than they do and contribute greatly to the development of this country.

The thing about it is that Ive just had so many discussions from people that arent Black that voted for Obama and get the significance but are a little put off by everyday Black people just making it all about race. I have to explain that while being Black isnt the reason that most people didnt vote for him, it is the reason why history is made and America is being looked upon in a different light around the world. Now certain countries are going to continue to hate us but at least we can now look ourselves in the mirror and say that we made a giant step forward.

By Obama being the President-elect, a lot of white people think we are trying to take over and they don’t want that. Only a few are happy that McCain lost. Not that Obama won, but that McCain lost. which is weird…..
I am proud of our country, our race, and our new President. I am excited to see the changes that are coming. This whole Presidential race was very exciting, and I’m happy that I lived to see it. America came together because it is ready for change. It doesn’t matter who voted more for who, we all came together. Focus on the big picture yall. Hopefully big change will come to the South. I’m so tired of living in the 60s.

Yeah whites are litterally kissing our *****es now. I was in the shoe store on yeaterday, weaking my skinny jeans, a read cute blouse a black jacket and some black cowgirl boots. This white guy I would say in his fourties actually went down on his freakin knees and grabbed my boots telling me how he “loved ” them. The sales lady and I just looked at each othe like ..dayum..haha.. it was funny but the compliment was nice.

I tell you one thing, our schools need to teach accurate African American history. Just think if they did, what the next generation…and the ones after that…could be like. To answer the question of whether or not I’m being treated better; NO. In fact, here in Washington state, I’ve been treated extremely rudely on the roadways, in stores by workers making minimum wage, by people that have that “inbred” look to them. I know that saying that sounds SO judgemental but I promise you that it’s true. It depends on where you are and what type of neighborhood you live in. I happen to live in a poor, white area where they believe what the rich, whites(note: I don’t believe all whites to be this way, just talking about my area) that they want to be like, tell them to believe. These people are on welfare and voting Republican. That kind of makes me laugh that they idolize these folks but don’t realize that in voting for them, all their free money and healthcare are in jeopardy. I will continue to pay my taxes so that they can continue their life-long career as welfare recipients, like a good, working, non-welfare receiving, Black American woman.
If you are in an educated area where the people understand the true state that this country is in and realized that they needed to change the path that we were on, then you will notice that they are happy and nice not just to Blacks but to everyone they p***** walking on the street.
No bossip, white people are not nicer to me. People that voted Democrat and saw the fruit of their labor begin to ripen are happy and nicer to everyone in their pathway. Good Question Bossip I think there isw a generality of happiness and relief that I am feeling and when people are happy they appear to be more polite. however I am sure there are some who show signs of fear and bitterness. I don’t know…its very awkward at my job. I was the only Obama supporter(which I did not discuss at work). The white folks at my job are good and bitter and angry. One told me while at lunch that Obama isn’t a citizen and he is keeping it from everyone. One keeps saying he “prays everyday something will happen to Obama”. I work at an office building in downtown New Orleans, and the Wednesday after, white folks came to work with boots on their faces, slantin their eyes at you, and some were talking out of line. The receptionist at my office told me “i guess you all are gonna get these big pay raises now huh.” I was LMAO.
To keep the peace and keep a lot of folks from getting nervous, I think we should develop a list of acceptable celebrations and behaviors we should probably avoid – at least for the first few days:
1. No crying, hugging or shouting “Thank you Lord” – at least not in public
2 No high-fives – at least not unless the area is clear and there are no witnesses
3 No laughing at the McCain/Palin supporters
4 No calling in sick on November 5th. They’ll get nervous if too many of us don’t show up.
5 We’re allowed to give each other knowing winks or nods in p*****ing. Just try to keep from grinning too hard.
6. No singing loudly, We’ve come this Far By Faith (it will be acceptable to hum softly)
7. No bringing of barbeque ribs or fried chicken for lunch in the company lunchroom for at least a week (no chitterlings at all) (this may make us seem too ethnic)

To keep the peace and keep a lot of folks from getting nervous, I think we should develop a list of acceptable celebrations and behaviors we should probably avoid – at least for the first few days:
1. No crying, hugging or shouting “Thank you Lord” – at least not in public
2 No high-fives – at least not unless the area is clear and there are no witnesses
3 No laughing at the McCain/Palin supporters
4 No calling in sick on November 5th. They’ll get nervous if too many of us don’t show up.
5 We’re allowed to give each other knowing winks or nods in p*****ing. Just try to keep from grinning too hard.
6. No singing loudly, We’ve come this Far By Faith (it will be acceptable to hum softly)
7. No bringing of barbeque ribs or fried chicken for lunch in the company lunchroom for at least a week (no chitterlings at all) (this may make us seem too ethnic)
