2012 Grammy Awards Nominations

Looks like Yeezy is all the way back in the mainstream’s good graces!

Between “My Beautiful Dark Fantasy” and “Watch The Throne,” Ye picked up a total of 7 Grammy nominations last night, including Best Rap Album nominations for both releases and Song Of The Year, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song for “All Of The Lights.” But Adele and Bruno Mars, tied for the second highest number of nods, are up for six a piece, including Album, Song and Record Of The Year.

Not far behind is Lil Wayne, who picked up five nominations, but mostly for collaborations. What’s most likely to get people talking though, is the fact that Chris Brown is up for awards in two Rap categories, thanks to “Look At Me Now.” And even though he would have to share a win for either “Best Rap Song” or “Best Rap Performance” with Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, you already know Hip-Hop purists are gonna hate!

Flip through the pages below and check out what other Hip-Hop and R&B artists are up for Grammy’s in 2012.
