Last night’s “America’s Next Top Model: All Stars” finale left everyone who had been following the show scratching their heads.

During yesterday’s episode, it was revealed that Angelea Preston, who has obviously been on the show before and who made it to the final three, was hiding something major that “disqualified” her from the opportunity of becoming America’s Next Top Model, thus leaving the judges to choose between Allison Harvard and 30-year-old Lisa D’Amato, who eventually won the contest.

As if the mystery of Angelea’s “secret” wasn’t enough to raise an eyebrow, a source from the set tells BOSSIP that the “disqualification” was staged.

According to this source, Angelea had actually originally won the competition. And it was only after being chosen as the winner that she told the production team that she couldn’t accept the title because of an unspecified personal issue. At that point, the producers shot an “alternate ending” to ANTM’s 17th cycle.

Of course, the outcome isn’t any different. But timing makes it a little crazy.

Earlier this week, Janice Dickenson called ANTM rigged, saying during an interview that Cover Girl actually gets to pick the show’s winners and not Tyra and her band of merry fashion experts. There were also rumors this week that Andre Leon Talley decided to leave ANTM for that very reason.

Do you think Tyra and the ANTM crew really were unaware of whatever Angelea’s “issue” was before taping this final episode?
